As you walk into the courtyard, you notice beautiful hanging decorations and a large sign that reads: HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY Teachers and students alike are intermingled in the crowds and everyone is laughing and enjoying themselves. A refreshments table is located to the left of the exit and a DJ and his crew are setting up closer to the tent.

It looks like we made it here just a little bit early Ms. Anemone.
Shinu walked in to the festively decorated courtyard with Anemone on his right side, her hand holding on to his extended forearm, escorting her into the dance. Their colors were two different hues, but complimented one another nicely. He gave a bow of courtesy to a few of the staff members at Kosaka and continued to walk with Anemone across the so-far empty dance floor to the back of the room with the punch. He slowly poured a small bit into a cup and tasted it to be sure that it wasn't spiked before giving Anemone any. After it tasted normal, he poured two cups.
Goodness, I expected a much better turn out than this. Maybe we just got here a bit too early. Either way, there's too much standing and not enough dancing!
Shinu took another sip of his punch and set the drink down on the table closest to him. He eyed down all of the pink and red streamers and hearts floating around the courtyard and as soon as a new song came on, he turned back to Anemone and put his hand out to her.
May I have this dance?

Cino grew tired of what the school had to offer. He was busy exploring for the most part. He didn't particularly care for the lobby, and the hallways seemed to restricting to him. Other than that, the school seemed a bit above the rest that he attended back in Osaka. Cino was about to exit the lobby when a staff member grabbed at his shoulder. The man obviously was a janitor given his blue uniform and utilities consisting of a mop. The man pointed over there and smiled before continuing on his duties. Cino glanced over at the courtyard and noticed the sign. Cino read the banner and just utterly sighed and gritted his teeth.
"No thanks, not my thing..." He muttered, however the janitor heard him and began to push him with the wet mop. Cino's khaki colored coat began to fade to a red color. Cino turned toward the janitor with his hand reaching inside of his coat and kimono but retracted it. Fighting with staff would be quite a bad idea. He thought to himself and relaxed a bit as his coat returned to its normal khaki color.
Cino strode over and out into the courtyard to notice a pair already there. He rolled his eyes and thought nothing of it. Cino noticed the tables and chairs with various snacks and drinks on them however chose not to even go by them. He found a secluded spot near one of the trees and leaned up against it to kill time, afterall it shouldn't take that long and perhaps that janitor would finally move on and leave him alone. Afterall it was rather relaxing to be outside, Cino felt a bit at peace.

The hallways of the main building were pretty much empty, Leo knew she must be early, but it was better to get it over with... She strode through the halls towards the main lobby. Where she stopped to watch someone get pushed into the courtyard by the janitor. "At least other people think this will be hell.." She mumbled, stepping towards the courtyard. Her long bangs fell in front of one eye, but she ignored it. She looked around to observe the scenery, and with every glance, she hated it even more. Pink and red banners streaming above the whole yard, and heart shaped balloons. Why did I ever have to come here? She though rubbing her head with one hand.
As she looked around, she noticed Shinu and Anemone, and it looked like they were going to dance. Leo laughed a bit, If anyone asks me, I'll send 'em flying through the field... She thought, a grin running on her face, she didn't quite care if she got banned from the upcoming dances, but she didn't quite want to hurt anyone. She sighed and walked towards the punch table where the 2 were. She walked over to the other side so she wasn't bothering them, and sat down at a nearby table. She lifted up a small cup and poured some punch into it. She sent it over to herself and grabbed it, taking a sip.
She was sure that when more people came, she would stand pout like a sore thumb, her dark corset and skirt, no shoes, a tail and fox ears... No one else would have them, she was sure of it.

Anemone cringed at all the pink. She liked pink. Her eyes were pink. The tip of her hair was pink. But too much of it got to even her. And the pink that littered the courtyard wasn't the most flattering of pinks. It was like salmon pink. Which always struck her as more orange in some lights. And it was mixed with other pinks. Like blush pinks and fushia.
Apparently the decorator wasn't entirely sure about what colours went well with others.
She walked alongside Shinu, not quite sure what she was doing there with him. Why had she agreed to come to the dance with him? Oh, that was it, she wanted to keep the peace in the dorm room and had tried to be as congeneal as possible. She suddenly felt like that kid who got dropped off at school by an over protective and overly affectionate parent.
Even more so when he tasted the punch for her. Who cared if it had been spiked or not. Spiked it might have livened the place up a little.
She was disappointed it was so dead at the moment. She hoped more students would turn up. She'd seen one boy being shoved in by a janitor. And she'd seen Leo arrived too, but quickly find herself an anti-social corner.
Honestly, what was the point of coming, when all you were planning on doing was standing into the corner drawing more attention to yourself being antisocial, than you ever would being social?
Anemone knew it sounded old of her but she couldn't help an exasperated: 'teenagers...' from slipping past her lips.
She eyed Shinu's hand uneasily. "Not right now." She grinned a little, "I'd prefer dancing when there are more people on the dance floor, so we weren't the lone couple. 'Kay?" She looked around for a moment, hoping other students would arrive soon.
Nimah was already at the dance, she'd arrived quite early to help with decorating the courtyard, and she thought she'd helped immensely. It suited the apparent mood for Valentine's Day, she thought.
She was dressed quite simply and quite demurely. In a straigjt, floor length dress, backless, with draping sleeves in a soft pale green colour, she felt quite comfortable and at ease for the moment. Though disappointed with the early turn out.
Only four had turned up, and one by force. She had been hoping for more. And also was waiting for other teachers to arrive. She was under the impression that events had to be endorsed by the teachers in order to make them attractive to the students too.

Cino noticed more people had begun to show up and decided that perhaps it wasn't in his best interest to stay away. Time would pass by quicker if he was over with everyone else right? He still didn't feel right being there, he'd been out of contact with people for a while ever since the incident a while back. Cino slowly sauntered his way over to the tables near everyone else. Cino didn't know any of the other people, but perhaps he could put aside his past experience and try to make at least one new friend.
Cino always disliked dances, especially at his school in Osaka. He never asked anyone to dance, he kinda just showed up to be there, it was expected of him almost because he was a somewhat likeable person if someone ever was able to talk with him. Cino finally mustered up courage in himself to put on somewhat of a smile as he moved over towards the small gathering of people.

Hideaki grinned as he ran over towards the courtyard. He'd left Makoto in their dorm room, content with his sketchbook and the library books he'd found. Hideaki grimaced; his twin was no fun, no fun at all. Shrugging, he decided to forget about it and just enjoy himself. He found a couple of other students hanging around the courtyard, one of whom he recognized to be Anemone. She was standing with an older boy and there was another boy, who also appeared to be a bit older, standing not too far away.
"Hey," Hideaki called, going over towards the small group. "Seems sorta small for a dance..."
Meanwhile, Ashiaro was pacing back and forth in the corridors of the teacher's quarters when he ran into Sharpe. The taller teacher frowned, drew his pointy stick out of his a pocket in his pants (he never went anywhere without it) and pressed the tip up against Ashiaro's shoulder, cornering the Elf in a dark area of the corridor.
"And where do you suppose you're off to in such a hurry?" Sharpe asked, narrowing his dark eyes. Sharpe was dressed in his typical clothes: long black pants and a blue long-sleeved shirt. Ashiaro, on the other hand, was dressed in ceremonial clothes: long green shirt, khaki pants, a dark red tunic and a blue belt. A dark grey cape was fastened around him by a blue pin.
"Where do you think?" Ashiaro sneered, his shoulder twitching from the awkwardness of the stick digging into his clavicle area. A hand reached up to smooth out his dark hair, which was braided in typical Elvish fashion, but Sharpe could see that Ashiaro had re-done it only moments ago.
Sharpe whipped his stick from Ashiaro's shoulder to the temple area, narrowing his eyes even more. He could see snippets of Ashiaro's thoughts, but didn't bother probing deep into the Elf's mind. That wasn't necessary; none of his thoughts were hidden at the moment.
"You idiot," Sharpe scoffed, pressing closer to the dark Elf. Ashiaro was now pinned up against the wall and one of Sharpe's hands on his chest held him there firmly. "Come now." Sharpe released his hand from pressing it against the wall with Ashiaro pinned in between and pulled the other teacher close, almost lifting him up by the collar.
In an instant, they disappeared in a cloud of grey smoke. Sharpe was firmly holding onto Ashiaro's collar and the dark elf could have sworn that he felt sick. After what seemed like forever to Ashiaro, they materialized in the courtyard, not far from where several of the students were standing.
Sharpe let go of Ashiaro's collar and the dark Elf fell to the ground. He was pulled up by the slightly irked teleport. "Go," Sharpe whispered harshly. Those were words for only Ashiaro to hear. "Ask her." The taller teacher pushed Ashiaro over in Nimah's direction, turned around and rubbed his left temple.
Ashiaro, his skin unusually grey, stumbled over towards Nimah. He was still feeling the effects of teleportation; most people did unless they were used to it. After a moment of gathering himself enough not to appear utterly drunk, he approached her.
"M'lady," he said, bowing slightly. "Will you be mine tonight?" He held out his hand and waited for Nimah's response.
Meanwhile, Sharpe wasn't too far away, keeping a careful watch on the whole situation. He would do as such for as long as he could allow himself, which he hoped was longer than his usual defenses would hold. Normally, that was only about an hour or so.

Nimah was startled to hear Ashiaro's voice behind her. She had hardly expected him to come, but was happy that he had. While his question made her blush a faint pink, she turned towards him with a warm smile, carefully placing her hand in his. "I'm flattered you asked." She giggled a little, then noticed Ashiaro's palid skin tone "Oh... what happened? You look a little sick, are you all right?"
Anemone averted her gaze from the teachers when she heard Hideaki approaching. The teachers were interesting, but she thought they would probably want privacy. "Hey Hideaki!" Anemone waved to him grinning at his comment. "Yeah, its pretty quiet at the moment. We're hoping it'll liven up some." She looked at Shinu for a moment and then at Hideaki. "Uh... Hideaki this is Shinu. Shinu, this is Hideaki." She introduced them briefly, then, after a pause asked, "Makoto not coming?"
Frick arrived through in the courtyard with a small grimace. Too much pink.
He saw a small group of students were sticking together near the punch table. Typical, safety in numbers. He recognised Hideaki and he saw Shinu there too. But he didn't recognise any of the others. He could see Ashiaro and Nimah too - holding hands?!
Frick grinned to himself, that was a surprise.
Surveying the rest of the courtyard Frick saw Sharpe, laying low, and approached. "Everything okay? You look a little sick." Frick said as he went towards the older man. Frick was pleased to see that he wasn't the only one who hadn't really dressed up. He was in a plain pair of black jeans with a short sleeed red shirt and a black tie. Typically, he was wearing black converse trainers for comfort.

Hideaki grinned and made a slight bow in front of Shinu. "Nice to meet you," he said with a smile. "And I don't think he's coming." He was, of course, referring to his twin. He was glad that he wasn't the only person at the dance, but he hoped more girls would come; Anemone and Shinu were going together, so the likelihood of her dancing with anyone else was greatly decreased. Not that it mattered much to him; he didn't know how to dance very well and he'd mostly just come to hang out and have fun.
Not too far away, Nimah asked Ashiaro if he was alright. The dark Elf shot a look at Sharpe. He still had no idea what the guy intended for him to do or why Sharpe actually chose to help. "I'm alright," he said after a moment. He blinked a couple times, willing the ground to stop moving underneath him, which it did after a few seconds. "First time teleporting." He gave a sly grin. His hand carressed Nimah's gently.
Meanwhile, Frick approached Sharpe, who was intently watching everything that was going on. He'd stowed his pointy stick back in a pocket and now had his arms crossed and head bowed slightly. There was way too much pink in the site and the sight of it almost made him feel ill.
"Yes," he replied. "I will be fine." He was quiet for a moment. "I always feel a bit... ill... after teleporting with another person." That was the main reason why he didn't. Although he could manage it fine by himself, bringing another person along had a near guarentee of making the other person feel sick. As a telepath, he could sense that and sometimes he would feel the effects.
He paced back and forth a bit, still watching everything that was going on. Hideaki was now with three other students, two boys and a girl. Makoto would not be coming. At the moment, things were peaceful. He motioned for Frick to follow him as he paced.
"Too much pink," he muttered under his breath. "And too many people before the end." In all truth, he hated chaperoning dances and wondered why he was always called upon to do so. He was not popular and never had been. None of the students liked him and there was quite a bit of dislike coming from the faculty, as well.

"Awh, that sucks." Anemone pouted, leaning on one hip. "But I'm not entirely surprised... this doesn't strike me as your brother's kind of scene." She giggled a little, looking around. When would other people start arriving? She wanted to know whether she was one of the few students eligible to date. Hideaki was too young. Shinu was... nice but not her type. Far to chivalrous, and she couldn't stand his shadow, Bells. She was quite happy that the she wasn't there at the moment.
Averting her gaze to the other boy who had approached she smiled kindly at him. "Hi, I'm Anemone. I don't think we've met." She tilted her head to one side, holding out a hand in greeting.
Nimah smiled a little, a small smile, it showed she was still a bit worried, despite Ashiaro's assurance he was fine. "Well, so long as you're feeling okay..." she paused for a moment, blushing further. She wasn't used to this. Caresses, someone taking an interest. It was... unusual. But not unwanted. It was just something she would have to get used it, especially from Ashiaro.
Nimah looked around the courtyard for a minute, before tightening her grip on Ashiaro's hand a little. "U-uhm..." she was tempted so suggest dancing, as the music was light and pleasant, but even she knew it was usually the man's job to ask. And she didn't want to demasculinise Ashiaro, so she stopped herself.
Frick followed Sharpe immediately. Someone intelligent to talk to, who wasn't about to bend Frick's ear about their ideas on world improvement, was a welcome distraction. And Frick aimed to avoid Shinu as much as possible if their previous meeting was anything to go on.
"Far too much pink." Frick agreed, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "As for people... at least there aren't a lot right now." He shrugged, Frick generally liked people, and liked being around them. But he could understand how difficult it would be for a telepath. "You don't have to stay for long if y'don't want." Frick muttered, "if it stays this quiet I could look after everyone... especially if Nimah and Ashiaro are wrapped up in each other." The warlock grinned widely.

Cino looked up to see Anemone with her arm extended out towards him. Cino extended his arm out and shook her hand.
"Hey, I'm Cino. I kind of just got here recently, but I bet you've been here quite longer than me." Cino still kept up his smile. This sure wasn't like his old school. Mostly everyone sat in their little groups and didn't even talk to new students let alone transfer students. Cino was only really popular back in Osaka for being a decent athlete at soccer. Other than that everyone kept to themselves for the most part. Cino felt a little relieved while being here in Kosaka, but still couldn't forget some of his past. For now though he was almost thankful the janitor had forced him to go since he might be able to make a new friend or two. Cino's coat began to fade slightly from its normal khaki color to a somewhat teal color.

Hideaki shrugged. He didn't feel like he wanted to seriously date, but seriously dating and dancing with a girl at the Valentine's Day dance - or any dance, for that matter - were two entirely different things. He knew people younger than he was who dated, though never seriously. Fleeting teenage romance, he thought to himself.
Ashiaro was bright when it came to reading facial expressions and he caught onto what Nimah was thinking. In the traditional Elven culture, usually a female would ask a male to dance if they knew each other, but in this setting - like for humans - the it was the responsibility of the male to make the first move and the female to either accept or deny the gesture.
"Would you care to dance?" he asked, holding out a hand and using the other hand to motion towards the dance floor. He wasn't sure if this was natural, but his English speech had become much more proper, leaning away from the slang he usually used. His voice dropped. "I'm afraid I'm not accostumed to this style of dancing," he admitted. The music playing was a light waltz and the dark Elves had a dancing style most closely resembling the tango.
Off to the side, Sharpe was quiet for a moment. He was not a people person by nature and being a telepath made him even less so. "That is true," he mused, glancing over at Ashiaro and Nimah. "With the two of them absorbed in one another, however, if there is trouble, you may want someone else to help." He thought for a moment, considering options in his head before he said anything.
If he was going to leave, the least he could do was keep his mind continually scanning and request that Frick actively think that he needed some help if anything happened. That way, Sharpe could get the message, teleport back to the dance and help straighten everything out. Reading another person's active thoughts was the least invasive kind of telepathy; it required the other person to consciously be thinking whatever would be read by the telepath, as if sending a message without speaking.

((Hello.... anyone else out there? )) Anemone quietly sipped her drink, leaning against the table. It was so quiet. She had been looking forward to the dance, but it was turning out to be a bit of a let down. There weren't really any other students there, and the teachers were all talking among themselves. Even though there were only a few students, they were seperating into their groups. Leo was being antisocial, so was in her own little group. She hoped now Hideaki was around things migh liven up a little. Nimah blushed again, starting to wildly fan her face to try and cool it. She had wanted to dance, that was true. But she was a little coy, and being asked had made her giddier than she had originally imagined. Recomposing herself, she nodded and took Ashiaro's hand, following him to the dance floor. She smiled, quietly amused by his admittance that he wasn't used to this style of dancing. Nimah hadn't really danced before either, but she'd done her fair share of watching dances throughout history, so she had the basic knowledge. "Well... maybe we should start off easy?" Nimah suggested, tilting her head to oneside. She rested one hand on Ashiaro's shoulder, while leaving her other entwined with his. Frick smiled a little, "thanks for the thought. If you wanna head off that's cool. I'll call you if I need you." He shrugged, "but I somehow doubt things'll get rowdy." Sighing, Frick surveyed the courtyard. The students were all crowded together, apart from one girl with animalistic attributes who had isolated herself. And now Ashiaro and Nimah were (trying) to show them how it was done. ((Sorry if this sucks but... geez... has everyone DIED or something??))

Cino looked around and noticed that the dance was still rather small. Not as many people showed up as he expected. Perhaps they all had the same idea of staying away, however he got drafted to it by that stupid janitor. He simply sighed a bit to himself on the inside and looked back to Anemone. It was rather boring, he contemplated whether to leave or stay and try to make some new friends.
'So are you enjoying yourself?" Cino asked full knowing the answer would be 'no' on the inside for the most part. He could see the boredom in most people as well as noticing the clicks start to seperate just like always whether it be in the cafeteria or at the gym.

Very nice to meet you too sir!
Shinu returned the slight bow and made his way over to get another cup of punch. He was getting hot in his suit, and since he was doing nothing to distract himself from believing he was hot, it was weighing on him. No one was dancing, a few were talking, this new Cino guy seemed ok, but didn't have the biggest personality.
I have to do something, or this ship is going to sink in a hurry.
He set his drink down and casually walked over to the dj to request a song.
Can you play the electric slide? I mean, everyone does it at every wedding, so everyone may be more comfortable dancing to a song they can easily dance to.
The dj put his headphones back up on his ears and just nodded before flipping through his albums. As Shinu made his way out to the dance floor alone, he looked over to his classmates.
I know yall can do the electric slide! It's customary for every party, so let's get this one started!
The music began to play and as soon as Shinu found the beat, he was taking his steps to the right, and then put one foot behind the other moving left. Before he took two back, a couple of students were doing it next to him. He took the step forward, then back, and made the ninety degree turn to his right before repeating it again. A few more people made their way to the floor, and now he just hoped the other students would join in as well.
