((No, I haven't vanished. I was just waiting for someone else to post before I did again.))
Hideaki was thrilled at the fact that other people decided to show up and the fact that he wasn't going to be the only person at the dance. When his twin had refused to come, the thought had crossed his mind about what would happen if he was the only student there. Man, that would've been awkward; he probably would have just left if that had been the case.
"Meh," he responded with a shrug. "Quite frankly, it'd be more exciting if there were more people here." A lopsided grin spread across his face as he had a brilliant idea. However, he wasn't sure if any of the older students would go along with it. "Maybe we could play truth or dare until enough people get here to dance..."
Meanwhile, Sharpe turned to Frick. "I think I'll stay for awhile," he replied. He knew he didn't want to, but something compelled him to stay. Perhaps it was the need to fit in with the other teachers and make a decent impression. After all, if he would be working with these people for the entire year and perhaps longer, he figured he needed to at least be on tolerable terms. He turned to watch Nimah and Ashiaro, half wondering why the elf had bothered to ask her to dance with him.
"Pathetic," he muttered under his breath, but loud enough for Frick to hear. "But at least they aren't bothering anyone except each other."

((I know. It just seemed like everyone had vanished for a while. T-T))
Anemone had to agree, the dance would have been more entertaining had there been more students there. Shinu's efforts to get everyone dancing seemed a slightly vain attempt, but Anemone was sure someone who humor him. She turned to Hideaki.
"Truth or dare? What are you twelve?" Her question wasn't meant in a cruel way, in fact she was quite amused by the idea. "What the heck..." with a shrug she glanced across to Shinu, "we're going to play truth or dare, you wanna join in, Flashdance?" She asked, raising her eyebrows. She altered her gaze to Ciro and also to Leo, asking them the same question in turn.
Frick nodded to Sharpe, "go for it. But don't make yourself stay if its gonna cause you pain. I doubt you'll be loosing face... Hell, there ain't anyone to loose face to." Frick half-smiled, leaning against the wall and surveying the courtyard again warily. Nothing was really happening, but he felt he should fulfill his teacher duties by keeping a watchful eye on the students.
He turned his head when he heard Sharpe's slightly scathing remark and followed his gaze. "You don't like her?" Frick asked tilting his head, "she's brainless, but seems pretty harmless. Or is it that you just don't like Ashiaro?"

Cino nodded slightly, however was wondering why people were avoiding his questions. Perhaps everyone wasn't that talkative or were too nervous. Maybe because he was new and wasn't accepted yet as part of their group. After all he didn't know anyone and they've probably been here longer than he was.
Cino couldn't help but notice Shinu. He was quite an outgoing guy. Pretty much the opposite of himself for the most part. Cino preferred to speak more with actions for the most part. Anemone, he didn't know what to make of yet, she seemed nice, but much more interested in her friends around her already.

Hideaki shrugged when Anemone asked him if he was twelve. "I'm bored," he replied. "And it looks like everyone else is bored, so unless you have a better suggestion..." After realizing that Anemone didn't mean anything spiteful, he gave a lopsided grin. "Hey Cino, want to play too?" Glancing around at the decorations, he almost felt sick. The last time he had seen this much pink was when his foster sister, Jamie, had decorated the entire house for Valentine's Day. She had been about six at the time and he had been seven. "You don't have to, but if you'd like to join us, you can."
-----
Sharpe shrugged. There wasn't much of a point in forcing himself to stay, other than to keep Frick sane. And he realized that a sane chemistry instructor was much better than one who had been driven insane from sheer boredom at a school dance. He shifted his weight to a more natural position and removed the pointy stick from his coat, stroking it with long fingers. The stick, made of kaya wood, had been a gift from the assistant principal at his high school when he became a student assistant during his junior year.
"No, I'm not staying to make an impression on other people," he replied, focusing his mental powers to pour himself a glass of water and bring it over to where he was standing. This was a relatively simple task and it refreshed his mind. Once the glass was within reach, he held out his hand. The icy liquid invigorated his body as it slipped down his throat.
There was a short pause as Frick asked him about Nimah and Ashiaro. "Nimah's not completely brainless," he replied after a short moment, emphasizing the second to last word. After talking to her in the classrooms earlier, he'd noticed many things about her, including the fact that she had intelligence in her own way. "Honestly?" He glanced over at Frick, dark eyes attempting to probe into the warlock's outer thoughts. He arched an eyebrow slightly. "I don't care for either of them in particular."
He had no idea why he was telling Frick all of this or even why he was talking to the warlock at all. It was usually rare that he would talk to people after meeting them; it took quite a long time for someone to earn his trust and until then, he was icy cold towards them. "And particularly, I don't care for Ashiaro," he replied, drawing his lips into a thin-lined frown. "It sounds like you don't care much for Nimah, either."

"I'll play." Anemone murmered, "it'll pass the time until other people get here." Though, if she was honest, Anemone wasn't sure if things were going to liven up. No other students seemed to be arriving, and the teachers were sticking to one another like glue. She was quietly disappointed. There was no eye candy. Not even mild eye candy. And she was getting increasingly more bored as time went on.
Truth or dare might have been a childish game, bit it would have at least made the time pass a little quicker.
-----
"Fair enough." Frick shrugged, watching Sharpe pour himself a glass of water mentally. Frick sometimes envied people who had telekenisis. It must have made like easier sometimes. But then, it was probably a pain in the ass the rest of the time. Thinking, Frick rubbed his left horn , pushing off from the wall.
"She's an Angel, so I guess she has some knowledge in there somewhere... thats just the problem with Angels. They see things so happy and are so good." He stuffed his hands into his pockets and shrugged again, "but its the same with Demons too. They see things as bad and dark and evil. But demons are more fun." Frick was an expert on this.
Warlocks were on the middle ground between good and evil. They had a wonderful thing called free will and could join whatever side they wanted. Frick had decided to use his free will to not take sides and to simply observe, but that hadn't stopped him enjoying a few raids on villages with other demons and Incubi.
"I'm not especially against either of them. Ashiaro doesn't seem too... bad. But you guys eveidently have some bad blood, so you see him differently to me. I don't know either of 'em well enough to make an educated opinion. But they're... in a word, palatteable."

As soon as the song was over, and all of the six people that did the dance dispersed, Shinu was a bit pissed, but was too fond of his suit to be having a bad night. The date with Anemone was completely a flop, and after meeting her was so promising, they didn't even seem like they'd be really good friends, much less be dating at any point in time. Oh well, it wasn't a total loss, he'd still have other oppurtunities, it was a rather large school. Having met Bree and Vixsyn helped to appease his mind enough to finally walk over to the rest of the group calmly.
I haven't played truth or dare in for... well, never actually. I've heard about it and know how to play, but I just never got the chance I guess. I guess I'm down. Who's going first?
He stared around the small circle, still dissapointed that he wasn't going to get to dance with anyone, or so it seemed. It was also a shame that Vixsyn and Bree were both no shows, but things could be worse, so he calmed himself once again to see who would step to the plate.

Cino smirked slightly at this Shinu guy. He was really outgoing, perhaps he would show him that he wasn't the only one that could be like this. It would be out of the norm for him to do it, but decided to get caught up in the moment. Cino slowly raised his hand.
"I'll take first seeing that everyone else is probably too nervous." Cino himself felt his stomach churn slightly. He too was nervous, but decided to hopefully get it over. Maybe then the others would feel a little more comfortable with him, just maybe. Cino brushed his coat as it began to fade from its khaki color to almost a light red.

Anemone made a small side step when Shinu returned. She could tell he was pissed about something, it didn't take a genius to work that out. But what, she didn't really know. As far as she was concerned, he'd asked her to the dance as a very forward way of introducing himself and getting to know her and other students. To her, this was in no way a date. Shinu was nice enough but not entirely her type.
None of the male students she'd met so far were what she would consider her 'type'. Mainly because many of them were either too young or just didn't spark her interest a great deal.
Hearing Cino nominate himself, she turned to him with a slightly wicked grin, "Okay, truth or dare?"
((Dumdumdum, I will post seperately, or add something to this for Frick/Nimah is Ai posts. :]))

Cino thought for a moment. He didn't realize until then how much pressure was actually on his mind on what to do.
"I'll go with truth first time around." Cino awaited the question as he looked at the other students. He looked at Anemone and noticed her little grin. He gulped slightly and then reassured himself that it wouldn't be bad. He then smiled back.
Cino really was hoping to make some friends and hopefully doing this wouldn't be a waste of his time.

((Sorry for the delay in posting. The last 24 hours has been a little crazy for me.))
Hideaki’s mood lightened up as he realized that people were willing to go along with his idea, as impractical and immature as his idea was. Truth or dare had never been one of his favorite games, but he enjoyed watching his middle school counterparts spend hours daring each other to do crazy things. However, he would never dare anyone to do something illegal or outright dangerous.
He glanced over at Cino. “Alright,” he replied, musing. His mind searched for something to say. “You have a secret crush on someone here at Kosaka.” Okay, he knew that was pathetic. There was no sense in saying so now.
-----
Sharpe poured another glass of water and glanced towards Frick, as if asking if the warlock wanted it or not. All the while, he nodded, listening to Frick’s spoken comments, as well as the comments he brought to the forefront of his active thoughts, mostly about how different species were either chosen to be good or evil. And, for once, Sharpe was glad to be human-type.
He knew well that humans were the most diverse of species. Since meta-humans were a sub-class of humans, meta-humans had all the power to be diverse as humans did. He was thankful that people could choose their own ways and were not forced to become either good or evil.
“It makes one almost pity her,” Sharpe replied after a moment, his dark glance falling on where Ashiaro was attempting to dance to the waltz music. For Sharpe, the waltz was the simplest of all dances, but he had promised never to dance again. It caused him too much pain because the last person who he had danced with had died.
“That is wise not to judge someone before getting to know them.” Sharpe forcefully jerked himself back into reality and his thoughts back into the present. One vice of being a telepath was that if he was not careful, he could project his thoughts into others’ minds, causing them to see what he was thinking. He most certainly did not want anyone seeing his private thoughts.

Cino was slightly shocked at first at hearing the question to someone so new to the school, however he kinda foresaw the question as it was typical in such a game. For a moment he contemplated the question, he hadn't really seen many girls since he arrived. He just met a rather nice yet slightly ignoring Anemone today, and a rather blunt Silver when he arrived.
"Well..." Cino began as he scratched his red hair slightly. "I guess you could say Silver from my dorm..." He sad matter of factly. He couldn't think of anyone else, since he had just met Anemone and he would be spending more time seeing Silver just because she was a dorm mate. Did it necessarily mean that he did have a crush on her now? Not really, but he might get to know her better and perhaps develop a crush on her.

Anemone had wanted to ask Cino a truth, but was beaten to it. Nt that she minded. Hideaki's question was a good one to ask, and amusing. It was a start too - hopefully someone who ask some dares at some point soon. They could be quite funny, depending on the dare.
"Silver?" Anemone questioned, "you mean the short girl with the wraps around her hair!" Anemone realised quite quickly, having met the woman sometime earlier in the town. "I don't know her... but I guess she's pretty." Pausing she grinned, "okay your turn to ask someone!"
----
Frick caught Sharpe's glance but shook his head, not being thirsty at the moment. It seemed that the other teacher was in thought, which allowed Frick's mind to wander briefly.
He was hoping Zack would have turned up. He was enjoying Sharpe's company, but Zack could bring a lot of life to parties, and this one really needed it. The only people doing anything dance-like were Nimah and Ashiaro, and considering this was a dance for the students, it seemed a little out of place.
Hearing Sharpe speak, Frick shrugged again, "you could pity her, but, to be honest, it doesn't seem to be something that bothers her. But I guess if you don't know anything else, you can't let it get to you."
Pausing, Frick thought as he spoke, replying to Sharpe's comment about being wise. "Its not wise. Its common sense. I was faced with a lot of people who didn't like me for being a Warlock. Thinking that I was a demon because I have horns. And it didn't really make things better being part shape-shifter. I hated being judged by someone before they got to know me, so I make a point of not making assumptions of people, until I've got to know them. Its just more fair."

Cino slightly rolled his eyes as if to show he really didn't care but didn't know what emotion would take over him. He looked around at the group and then back to Anemone who had commented at him. He poked her shoulder softly.
"Well I choose you now, Truth or Dare?" Cino grinned slightly. Cino wondered what type of girl she was, she was still a bit of a mystery to him. The whole point of the game was probably to get everyone aquainted.

((Sorry for not being on much! Now I have to make up for what I missed.))
Leo watched as Shinu did the electric slide along to the music, but not many others were, she couldn't help but laugh at how strange it looked seeing only about 3 people actually dancing. She then sighed and looked around, taking a sip of her punch. When Anemone asked her if she wanted to play truth or dare, she didn't answer, she actually didn't want to do anything... But after everyone else joined in, she silently pulled up a chair. She listened as Hideaki asked Cino the first question. She had no clue who half the people who were playing were, or the Silver person Cino mentioned, she had no care in the world for another persons personal life... She didn't even like her own...
She merely waited for Anemone to answer truth or dare, and she desperately hoped she would pick dare.. but knowing how different the two were, she would probably pick truth...

Hideaki turned towards Cino, raising both of his eyebrows. “Hey, that means we’re in the same dorm, too!” he grinned. “I’m glad the fourth person isn’t some stuck up know-it-all.” He rolled his dark eyes and adjusted his bandana. Unlike Ashiaro and Nimah, Hideaki was wearing normal clothing: black pants and a black shirt and now a purple bandana. “Alright, continuing on…”
------
Sharpe’s lips drew into a tight frown, though the frown was ever so subtle that only someone who knew him well could have picked up on it. He glanced over at Nimah, who seemed so happy and so content to be who she was. Same thing with Ashiaro. They looked so pleased and serene. On the other hand, his mind was in turmoil over the fact that he simply didn’t want to be there. Why was he at the dance? And what kept him there?
Sighing, he knew the answer. He had come out of morbid curiosity about what would happen. He stayed because he had the duty to stay. He knew that, at any moment, something could go horribly wrong and his help would be required. He had not wanted to come because of her. The last time he went to a dance, the time had passed away quickly because they were dancing together and socializing with friends. Oh, he still knew how to dance, but he couldn’t anymore.
[“Promise me that the next person you dance with will be me at the ball tonight,” Tricia whispered in his ear as they set out to get coffee that morning. It was a Wednesday and the Valentine’s day ball was later that evening. Out of pure kindness, their physics professor had canceled lecture that morning.
“Of course,” Sharpe replied, buttoning his coat. Even in California, the winter mornings were crisp. “Why would I dance with anyone else?” He thought that this was a silly idea.]
Unfortunately, he had been very wrong. On their way home from getting coffee, a drunk driver had veered off the street. Tricia had called out a warning, but was unable to get out of the way in time. Sharpe hadn’t been able to grab her before teleporting a safe distance away. She had died right then and there.
He blinked a couple times, turning back towards Frick. There was silence for a moment, which seemed to be radiating from his mind and encompassing the entire courtyard. For a split second, it appeared as though everything and everyone at Kosaka was mourning with him. As quickly as the silence passed over the island, it disappeared.
Frick’s comments about not judging others brought his thoughts back into present day and time. He would need some time to think things over, but now was not that time. There would be a time to grieve later, but he knew the proper time was not now.
“It is only common sense to some people,” he replied quietly. “Unfortunately, many humans can be narrow-minded and think less of anyone who is different.” He hoped that would be a theme in the history lessons, as there were so many examples in history. Take, for example, America circa anytime before the 1960s. Black people weren’t treated as equally as they are now. Same thing with meta-humans in the recent years. If humans discovered alien races in the future, Sharpe was sure the same ideas would plague any potential friendships then. “Mankind has always feared that which it does not understand.” There was a pause and Sharpe stroked the pointy stick that he removed from his pocket. “I’m rather curious about something. What exactly is a Warlock?” He had heard of Warlocks before, but never knew what one was. When he applied for a teaching position here at Kosaka, he had never expected to meet and even be on friendly terms with one.
((I apologize for the sort of long post here.))
