"Ooooh..." Anemone murmured, leaning on one hip casually, "I'll go for a truth right now. Things need to get a little more lively before I attempt a dare." She explained with a shrug. "So yeah, truth."
----
Frick waited patiently for Sharpe to reply, becoming used to the older man's habit of taking some time to answer. He obviously did a lot of thinking when he wasn't talking. Everything about him struck Frick as deep and important. Every thought had to have a process. Which was something that was quite impressive.
Most people just said what they thought everyone else wanted to hear without much thought.
Frick averted his gaze when Sharpe spoke again. "It should be common sense to everyone, but everyone isn't raised the same way I was." He grinned a little. Frick liked his memories. Apart from some bullying growing up, things had been pretty easy for him. His family had always been supportive, and always embraced Frick's ways of thinking, often telling him to keep it up.
Being asked what a Warlock was, wasn't something Frick was sued to, so it caught him off guard a little. "Weeeelll..." he struggled a little, "we're a sort of... remnant of a demon. Generally Incubi. When an Incubi impregnantes someone, or a Sucubi is impregnated, while the kid will be mostly demonic, the gene gets weaker in later generations. Then the later generations, who have barely any demon ability, but still have powers, breed with normal humans and that makes a Warlock. A magic being who was a demon. Unfortunately, because we are still partly demonic, however small that percentage is, Lucifer still thinks he owns us, so orders Warlocks to work for him. But as I said, free will an' all that." Grinning again, Frick tugged one of his bangs and pulled his braid around his shoulder, tightening the hair band.
"I'm slightly different though. My great-grandfather was a shapeshifter, so my dad is half-shapeshifter and I'm quarter-shapeshifter, not that percentage really makes that much difference, I still have all the same powers as my father." As if to prove a point, Frick held out his left hand and transformed it into a goblet, and then back into his hand.

"Alrighty then..." Cino pondered for a moment rubbing his bandanna that was slightly bothering him for a moment.
"What's the most embarrassing thing you've done at the Academy?" Cino grinned slightly. Cino looked over to Hideaki.
"And you don't think I'm stuck up?" He laughed a little before regaining his composure. "Just joking." Cino thought the kid looked a little familiar, I guess it was the looks that gave it away since he looked like the other kid in his dorm.

Anemone eyed Cino for a moment, after he asked his question. She was actually having trouble thinking of an embarassing moment. She hadn't been at the school for long, so hadn't had much chance to humiliate herself.
"Uhm..." she frowned deeply, "well... it wasn't really embarassing but Fossu taking over my body briefly in town was pretty awkward for everyone." She shrugged in a kind of 'is that what you're looking for' motion with a small shake of her head.

Cino thought for a moment. He thought that everyone else had been here much longer. Maybe he wasn't as far away from these people as he thought. Cino suddenly came back to reality and looked back at Anemone.
"Mmm, I suppose. Its your turn to choose someone then." Cino extended his arms as if to display everyone else there with them. He eyed each person and wondered who would be chosen next. Cino was trying to think up of things since he may get asked very soon once again. He was hoping it wasn't to do with any crushes or anything again.

Hideaki arched an eyebrow slightly, momentarily taking on some of Makoto’s personality quirks. Even though the twins had not grown up together, the fact that they shared a strong natural bond with one another had assisted in making up for lost time. “So who’re you going to choose?” he asked, eyeing Anemone. So far, no one else had come to the dance and Hideaki was disappointed.
---------------
Sharpe nodded as Frick explained what a Warlock was. “It’s good that you have free will then,” he replied, almost smiling. He knew that it would be horrible to be forced to do something completely against your standards of belief. In fact, he had been forced to once, but he was only a child then and he really couldn’t do anything about it. Now that he was older, he felt he could make his own decisions about how to live. No one else would have to deal with the consequences of his personal beliefs as long as he lived a moral life.
Sharpe sighed, glancing out over the students and at Ashiaro and Nimah. “Fortunately, the decorations did not go to waste,” he commented absently. “Yet I thought that the dance was for students, not specifically for faculty members.” He shook his head. “One can only hope that classes are more entertaining than this.” A hand stroked the stick he carried around, which was most often used to make his powers seem more dramatic.

Shinu was slightly entertained by the game, but was still frustrated that he had on such a great suit to not even be dancing. No one else even cared either, what a bust in his eyes. Well, may as well make the most of it. He didn't particularly care to be doing any dares, so his choice would be easy if Anemone chose him, he was just worried about what she would ask.

"I guess so." Anemone nodded, "okay..." she paused, looking around the (rather small) group. "Okie, Hideaki!" She pointed at the boy grinning playfully, "truth or dare?!"
- - -
Frick nodded, "believe me, free will is something you people take for granted." He said, not meaning to insult Sharpe, he meant the term 'you' as humans, or meta-humans who were born with free will as a given. "I've seen how Demons work, and how Angels work. They don't have a choice what they do, Lucifer tells them to jump and they ask how high. Makes me appriciate it more."
Frick dug around in his pockets, searching for the packet of smokes he'd brought with him. He didn't really feel the need for nicotene right now, but he just wanted to make sure they were still there in case he did feel like lighting up. He had no qualms about doing it in front of the students: he was willing to guess a few of them would get into it as they grew up anyway.
Observing the still distracted couple, Frick shrugged a little, "eh - let 'em enjoy it. I doubt they'll be much time for a relationship to bloom when classes strike up. I'm willing to guess we'll all be rushed off our feet once things really get started." Frick too hoped classes would be more entertaining that this rather poor turn out for the dance. From what he'd seen of some of the students, things were promising. He was looking forward to teaching the other shape-shifter he'd met, Kipling. Her ADHD attitude amused him, and he thought she might be a bit of a challenge with the attention span of a gnat, so he was looking forward to that at least. If she took his subject, that was.

((Just a note, but when Sharpe uses Latin phrases in his thoughts, they usually aren't translated literally. However, I will give an English semi-equivalent to the Latin phrase so y'all can tell what he's thinking.))
Hideaki thought for a moment. Under normal circumstances, he would have chosen a dare, just to liven things up a bit. However, he hardly knew these people and wanted to scope out their personalities a little more. Of course, he did have ulterior motives for this action. "Okay, truth this time," he replied with a slight smile. Next time, he would choose a dare.
----------
"Pathetic how some people control others," Sharpe muttered, though more to himself than to Frick. As a telepath, he was aware that it was not only Lucifer who could control people, but also most telepaths. He had only exercised this power once or twice, and then it was a matter of life or death. When given the choice, he always chose life. 'Dum spero spiro' was the Latin phrase. When there is life, there is hope.
"It's often that way with people," Sharpe continued after a moment. Out of the corner of his right eye, he saw the students standing around. Some of them, namely Hideaki, were being so loud that he didn't even have to think about using his telepathic powers to figure out what they were doing. Absently, he dropped his stick and used his mind to levitate it and bring it back towards the long fingers of his hand. He listened to Frick's comments about classes and chuckled. "At least you know which subject matter you're teaching."
As of yet, Sharpe did not know which subjects he was teaching. He had signed up to teach any advanced classes that needed to be taught, as long as the subject matter was within the realm of science or math - or Latin. He had not noticed a math instructor, so he figured he would probably be teaching that. Glancing over at the students, he realized that Hideaki was probably one of the youngest at the school, so he figured that he probably wouldn't have to teach anything below second year of algebra or trigonometry. Though, he knew it would be fun to teach physics - maybe he could talk Zack into letting him teach an applied math course - or Latin.
"You've met some of the students," he commented casually, picking up on some of Frick's active thoughts.

The one thing about being dean that Zack hated the most was the paper work. He went into his office early that morning and had hoped that it would help him get out earlier. And he had been there for almost eight hours, sorting through resumes and dealing with problem students. It was bad enough that all of that crap was completely boring. He had also missed the first half of the dance. And that really made him angry. He was hoping to get a good view of the female student body. He walked into the courtyard adjusting his tie and fixing the red rose he had plucked from one decorative plants.
He was here finally! He rubbed his hands together rather gleefully before surveying the crowds. There few female students that he had met during his stay at Kosaka and he winked and grinned in their direction. They were so cute. Especially the little nekos. He couldn't get over the cute little ears on their heads and would flirt with them just for the ears. The eager head master made his way to the refreshments. "You got anything with brandy in it?" He asked the other man behind as he lifted a glass of punch. The answer was of course no and he sighed. Ah well.
Taking a light sip, he turned to face the dance floor and smiled at the students. They all seemed to be enjoying themselves without killing each other. And that was always a plus. He wasn't sure exactly what kinds of lives they had before they came here. But he could imagine how good it felt to be among those who were just like you. They didn't have to worry about being judged or anything. They could just be normal kids. Well as normal as kids get with powers and kitty ears. He chuckled lightly before promptly ogling a girl on the otherside of the courtyard.
--------------
Mya rushed, running through the main lobby of the school and bursting through the double doors leading the courtyard. She hated being late to any kind of function. And this party sounded like so much fun. She couldn't believe her plane had been delayed. It all seemed like the Fates were working against her. Being late is better than not showing up at all... she thought with a passive shrug.
The dress she wore was simple in it's design, black and long with light pink embroidery around the neckline and hem. Her auburn hair was pulled back in a classic bun with no strand out of place. Her tail swished behind her before she stepped into the crowded courtyard. All the other students all seemed congregated amongst themselves and Mya felt a little out of place. She hadn't been there for more than an hour or two and still had yet to make any real friends. Of course, she wasn't the talkative sort. So Mya really didn't expect to make friends easily.
She clasped her hands behind her back and gently bounced on her feet. Maybe someone would ask her to dance. Maybe she would stand there all night without talking to anyone. Either way, she was rather determined to enjoy herself.

Cino who was getting a little bored scanned the area and noticed a few new faces join in on the function. There was a new girl that just arrived who caught his eye. Perhaps she was a new student. He was included even though he was new, and everyone seemed to accept him. Cino looked over to the new girl and waved his hand in the air to get her attention.
"Hey over here!" Cino nearly shouted out. He waved his hand for her to come over. Hopefully she didn't think he was crazy. Cino looked back to watch Hideaki choose truth or dare. So far everyone chose truth, maybe not everyone was too outrageous to do something or maybe because it was a dance after all and dares wouldn't be a proper way to behave. Then again not everyone wore something spiffy to the dance.

Anemone had been about to ask Hideaki his question, seeing as that's what everyone was sticking to, and truthes were so often more fun, and less trouble than dares, when she was distracted by Cino calling and waving.
Another girl! Thank the Gods. Anemone thought, almost soo gleefully. The only other girls she'd met were Leo and Bells. And she wasn't really getting on with them very well. So this other girl, a Neko, was certainly a welcome addition.
She nudged Cino. "Don't yell, its rude. Go over and ask if she'd like to join us!" Anemone said, giving him a slight shove in the Neko girl's direction. Anemone grinned, averting her gaze again. Someone else had arrived - things were getting lively, at long last!
Only this new arrival made Anemone's stomach turn into a knot. This new arrival was cute. Very cute. Tall, suavely dressed, and he looked at ease, looking around the student body and eyeing up some of the female students. She had no idea who he was. He looked young enough to be a student, but then, looks could be decieving, and from what she'd seen of the teachers, some of them didn't look especially old. She was tempted to go over and say 'hello' Just be polite and introduce herself, and maybe fish for hints.
But then she remembered she was otherwise engaged and turned back to Hideaki, "uh okay, Hideaki - uhm... what's the worst thing you've ever done to someone close to you?" Anemone half-smiled.
----
"Lucifer doesn't know any better. And neither do Angels or Demons." Frick muttered, "Nimah's a little luckier than most though. She may be an Angel but she's a human-Angel. The more time she spends around humans the less angelic she'll become. She'll start getting angry, and learning how to be rude and sarcastic. The hold he has over her will lessen."
Frick sighed a little looking arund, he was getting bored. Things weren't going according to plan at the dance. Still, a couple of people - one of them being Zack - had arrived. "You should asked Zack what you're meant to be doing." Frick said nonchalantly. "He'll probably get back to you in three working days." Smiling lopsidedly, Frick shrugged again and continued speaking. "I've met a few of 'em. One bat girl called Vixsyn and she's got a real... weird friend, Kipling, who's a shapeshifter. I met a telepath Hideaki, and this... irritating ball of arrogance, Shinu." Frick visibly grimaced when mentioning the boy.
The meeting he had had with Shinu would be one Frick wouldn't forget any time soon. He was still hoping, most likely against hope, that Shinu wouldn't be in his lessons. He wasn't sure he'd be able to deal with the hard headed teen. Who, Frick was morbidly amused to see, looked a little dejected in the group of students.
Frick saw Zack enter and head straight to the drinks. He rolled his eyes a little and waited for him to turn around. "Hey!" He waved over at him.
((Whoo - long! : D))

Cino felt Anemone nudge him in the new girl's direction. He slightly blushed a bit. as he wandered through to the entrance where the new girl had arrived and put on a little smile. He had never seen her before in the hallways at all but then again he hadn't seen a lot of people that he met today at all. Perhaps she wasn't new but then again you never knew.
"Hi there, I'm Cino. Come over and hang out with us!" Cino held out his hand to shake the new girl's as he looked back at the small group he had joined in on. They were stall congregating together waiting to see what Hideaki's answer. Not many people were still dancing, however thats kind of how it went early on in dances. Nobody goes out early on but as the time progresses people lose themselves in the fun of the event and just let loose.

Bells was looking around as she walked out to the booming courtyard. She was trying to find Shinu, without much luck. She wanted to find, and at the thought of his name, she spotted him. It was a overwhelming feeling, and everything else seemed to zoom out of her sight. And as her sight went she tripped over a cord that was laying on the ground, spitting curses at her as she went down.
There was a small thud, and a couple stares, but not much damage. She hadn’t gotten any dirt on her dress, so everything was good. As she blushed, turning into a ghost, not invisible, she made her way to Shinu once more, and said hello..
“Umm.. Hi.” She said in a voice low, and undercover. She didn’t want to find Anemone, and so she didn’t look. But she did look around for new people. There were a few that she could see, but not to many.

Shinu saw Bells trip, but couldn't help her without causing a scene. Right in the middle of Anemone's initial staring at the new man that came to the dance, he all but figured their "date" was over. He didn't know anyone, and it was not what he expected, so seeing Bells was a sight for sore eyes. She was so silly, and he figured he could at least spend some time with Bells to make up for the miss that was his asking Anemone to the dance.
Hey Ms. Bells, come here quick.
He snatched her up and spun her in front of him, his back to the rest of the group. Cino was distracted by the neko girl, Hideaki was pondering his answer, and so Shinu got away with Bells before anyone noticed.
They're playing truth or dare, not really something I would like to see you partake in.
There he goes again, but at this point, he and Bells knew they were basically more brother and sister than just about any regular siblings could be, so he knew she wouldn't mind his watching out for her.
I haven't seen Kipling at all, or Vixsyn for that matter. What happened to her after yall's shopping excapade?

Zack took another long gulp from his drink, downing the last of it before demanding another one from the man behind the counter. There wasn't any alcohol in them (much to Zack's disappointment) so he had no trouble demanding a refill. He was starting to get bored and he hadn't even been there for very long. Something needed to happen. A fight needed to break out. Aliens needed to show up. Something needed to explode! Anything to quell the boredom and give the young dean something to do.
He winked and smiled at a few students that walked by and laughed mentally when they whispered behind their hands before giggling in his direction. And though he abhorred the work associated with being Head Master, Zack had to admit that it had its perks. And they certainly are perky... he thought with a smile at a particularly interesting looking young lady across the dancefloor.
She seemed to have noticed him as well and Zack was quite tempted to go over and speak with her. Though Frick managed to intercept him before Zack could even take two steps toward her. He smiled at the other man and waved at him. "Hey, Frick." He downed the last bit of his third drink and crumpled the cup in his hand. No more for now. Or he'd have to make beeline to the bathroom. "This party's pretty dead. Let's say you and me find some girls to dance with." He grinned mischeviously before turning his attention back to the girl he had noticed earlier. He was rather determined to walk out of here knowing her name.
------------------
Mya was a bit startled when this new boy seemingly came out of nowhere. She backed away from him a few paces and nervously fidgeted with her tail. He seemed nice enough. He introduced himself as Cino. Mya smiled as much as she could make herself and she cautiously shook his hand.
He was inviting her to come hang out with him and his friends? That was a first and as excited as Mya was about finally getting to talk to new people, it actually made her a little nervous. She was such a shy creature and didn't normally talk in large groups. But this was a dance. And it was supposed to be fun. So she was quite willing to give it a try. "O-okay. Cino. My name is Mya." She coughed politely in her hand before a not-so-forced smile spread across her lips. "Lead the way."
