((Again, sorry for the delay and the sort of long post.))
“What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done to someone close to you?” Anemone finally asked.
Hideaki had to think about that question for a moment. Surely he had done some horrible things to people who were close to him, albeit unintentionally. Yet, the worst thing he did – in his mind – had happened on the ride over to the academy. Only two living people knew what had happened in the car, his brother and the person who had driven the car. Or was the worst thing he’d ever done when he betrayed his friends? He wasn’t sure.
[A small group of friends gathered around a backyard pool, just hanging out. There were seven present: another set of twins – this one a boy and a girl – and a sandy haired blonde boy with glasses, an African American boy who carried a chess set, another girl dressed in a pink shirt and jean skirt, Makoto and himself.
“Just be careful what you do,” the sandy-haired boy warned. “We don’t know what’s coming up next and Cal warned us not to underestimate anyone.”
The African American boy grinned. “Alrighty then, who’s up for a game of chess?” he held up the chess set. Makoto begrudgingly agreed and the sandy-haired boy as well as both the fraternal twins, followed him.
“Hey Marie,” the sandy-haired boy spoke again. “I’m going down to the kitchens. Why don’t you come along?” Marie nodded and the two of them left, leaving Hideaki alone with his thoughts.
He walked along the edge of the pool, muttering to himself about how all of them seemed to be such good friends except for him. They had all known each other for years and he felt left out. Before he knew it, he found himself talking to a little girl. The girl seemed harmless enough at the time.]
But, boy had he been wrong! This girl was a shapeshifter and Cal’s sworn enemy. She shapeshifted back into her natural form, that of a giant squid. When Marie came back with the others, they found themselves at the mercy of their enemy who now had information about Cal’s whereabouts and of the tight-knit friendship that their group had experienced, all because of Hideaki’s big mouth. ‘Or was that a dream?’ he wondered, a frown crossing his face. He held out his hand and touched his forehead gently.
‘Yes, that was a dream,’ he heard a voice speak to him. This voice was calm and strikingly familiar. ‘It never happened and you can trust me, remember?’
‘But what if –” Hideaki began, but he was cut off once again.
‘It was a dream and that is all it was,’ the voice repeated, pressing into his mind. ‘Now if you fail to listen to me, I shall have to take more drastic measures to ensure that you obey.’
Hideaki frowned. He really didn’t want to know what drastic measures his twin had in mind when he said that. He decided to answer Anemone’s question as honestly as he could. “I… I told my brother that I hated him,” he replied after several silent moments.
-----------------
Sharpe didn’t say anything as Zack walked up towards them, but arched an eyebrow carefully. He would stay at the party, if only to keep an eye on everything in case something went awry. With Zack present, he was certain it would not be long. Something did not sit right with him about the Headmaster, though he could hardly focus his thoughts enough to realize what it was. He was almost surprised that Frick had met Hideaki already.
‘Perhaps you should go and enjoy yourself,’ he sent that thought in Frick’s direction, carefully shielding his mind from any unwanted priers. The last thing he needed right now was for someone to peek into his inner thoughts and find out why he was not participating in the festivities. “This is a nice party you’ve organized,” this part was spoken aloud and directed pointedly at Zack. He nodded in appreciation to the effort that had gone into planning this event.

Anemone frowned when the cute man was called over by someone else. Another young-ish looking man, with horns, no less. Friends, apparently. Still, she had been a little pleased that he'd looked in her direction. She was more tempted again to excuse herself, but that would have been rude.
She noticed Shinu had disappeared too. No doubt Bells had finally arrived, and Shinu had rescued her from the "jaws of death", or something stupid she had done immediately on arrival. Anemone didn't mind. Their date had been over before it had started, and now she wouldn't feel guilty for making eyes at the black haired man, who she was still keeping her eyes on from across the courtyard.
When Hideaki answered, Anemone tilted her head towards him. "That's the worst thing you've done?" She blinked a little surprised. She had expected something a little worse. But then, maybe Hideaki was closer to her brother than she was to her own. After all, she and her brothers weren't actually related. They were "siblings" because they all held Deities. SHe decided not to dwell on it, in case in made Hideaki uncomfortable.
As she was about to inform him on it being his turn, she saw Cino talking to the neko girl, and she looked like she was going to come over. Anemone smiled.
---
Frick frowned a little hearing Sharpe in his head. He would never, ever get used to that. It was such a weird sensation. 'Well, okay. If ya don't mind.' He was genuinely apologetic, but this would have been the first time the Warlock wuld have been able to hang out with Zack since he'd arrived. His paper work did keep him pretty busy.
He laughed at Zack's suggestion, "you don't stop to breathe, do you?" Grinning, he followed Zack's eye line towards the unusal looking girl in the small group. "I see you've already picked your target. You go dance, I'll join you if someone arrives who sparks my interest."

Cino could tell the girl was slightly nervous, so perhaps she was a new student like him. Cino ruffled Mya's hair a bit, not enough to worry about looks, but just enough to just be friendly.
"Hey, don't be so nervous." He smiled a bit more as they slowly began walking over to the group Cino came from. Cino rolled his eyes slightly and sighed.
"You know, I wasn't going to come to this, but...I got forced in." Cino looked around looking for the janitor who was near the entrance cleaning up the floor with a mop. He looked up and smiled at Cino before going back to work. Cino rolled his eyes once again.
"But...on the other hand, I'm kind of glad I guess. I'm a rather new student here and didn't think I'd find people to talk to...but I was wrong." Cino shrugged his shoulders slightly as they approached the group.
"Hey everyone this is Mya." Cino spoke slightly announcing to break up the concentration of the game of truth or dare.

Hideaki was a little put-off by Anemone's comment. "I didn't just tell him that I hated him," he added, his voice dropping quietly. "I meant it fully." Most of the time, Hideaki was a lot more open than Makoto was. Because of his sworn code of ethics, hatred was one of the few things that stood against him so strongly. Other things included unnecessary use of his powers, particularly telepathy, and unwarranted violence.
Soon, Cino arrived with Mya, relieving Hideaki of having to explain more. He really didn't feel like going into the code of ethics that he and his brother shared. "Hey Mya!" he grinned. He was glad to see another student who seemed to be not much older than he and his brother were.
------------------------
Sharpe caught some of Frick's uncomfort and his dark eyes dropped to the ground for a moment. "I apologize," he said, this time aloud though barely in a whisper. He became very quiet and resumed to pace the perimeter. Because - and only because - he was wearing dark clothing, he was able to blend partially into the shadows under the trees that surrounded the courtyard.
He savored the time alone, with only his thoughts to keep him company. However, he kept scanning, well aware that trouble could happen at any moment.
------------------------
Meanwhile, Ashiaro had managed to finally get the hang of the waltz when the music changed. This time, it was a tango. The tango was the most similar form to his native culture's dancing. He glanced over at Nimah, as if wondering if she wanted to dance this time or if she would prefer to sit this dance out. He was up for whatever happened.

"Umm.. Shinu, I didnt stay.. I err.. Came home five minutes later.." She turned around to look for new faces instead of watch in fear at his expression change.. She seen new people all around her.. It was kind of scary. She backed up, forgetting Shinu was there, and bumped into him.
How could I let him talk me into this? Its too scary, with this many people. I mean I new to expect it, but still...
"Ugh.. Sorry." She finally turned around to look at him, and here the critisism of the fact she should have gone home with them.

Shinu knew that Bells would be nervous about the dance, and he was so confident. What a huge shot to his morale when he was supposed to be looking after her. She trusted him and he talked her in to coming to a dance that he himself wasn't even enjoying very much in the least.
Hey don't worry about it Ms. Bells, I'm just glad that you made it here safely. Come on, let's sit down for a bit.
He led her to a nearby table and pulled her chair out before sitting across from her.
This isn't exactly what I expected from this dance at all. I'm sorry I made you come, but you do look very nice Ms. Bells. Don't be so worried ok? You know I'm not going to let anything bad happen to you.

Bells giggled when he pulled out the chair for her, it was funny to her for no apparent reason. "Umm.. I'm fine, its just that there's to many new people around.." She set Herbs on the table.. She had been holding him the entire time, completely unaware of it. She was in the habit of not realizing she was holding him a lot. She tried to brush her hair out of her face unsuccesfully, and just left it hanging instead of struggling.
------------------------------------------------------------
Bree looked around confused as to where Chris was. She had gone shopping with him not to long ago, and he seemed to be out of sight. So she walked over to Shinu, who was with a pale girl, a little younger than her. She looked nervous and shaky.. So she didnt bother saying anything to her yet.
"Hey." She said, looking at Shinu, smiling brightly. She would hope that she would spot him first, out of all the people. She would need to make new friends, or she was going to have one lonely stay at Kosaka. "Do you know anyone that I would get along with? As in a girl.. " She looked around trying to find someone who didnt look stuck up or snobby.

"Okay, okay." Anemone sighed, raising her hands defensively. "I didn't mean to touch a nerve." She switched her gaze from Hideaki to the room again, scanning it quickly. Well there was Shinu. With Bells. Hardly surprising. Shinu was having a rotten time at the dance, so now he could have a rotten time with the brat.
The cute black haired guy still seemed to be in conversation with the other men across the courtyard. That was okay. As long as he hadn't been whisked off by a girl or something, Anemone didn't mind. She didn't want to leave without at least saying 'hello' and finding out his name, at least.
When Cino arrived with the Neko girl, Anemone smiled at her. "Nice to meet you. I'm Anemone."
----
Before Frick could confirm to Sharpe that there wsan't a problem, the older man had started stalking the perimeter. Frick shrugged a little with a small grin. He hoped he hadn't offended him, but some how knew it would be quite difficult to overly offend him. Following after Zack, Frick caught up with him.
"I'll sit out for a while. Dancing isn't really my forte." Frick admitted, taking a seat at a table near the 'bar'.
----
Nimah noted the change in the music, but her feet were starting to hurt a little, and while she was enjoying dancing with Ashiaro, the experience being rather new and exciting for her, she didn't want to have sore feet when classes started up. She chewed her lower lip momentarily, before stepping away from Ashiaro, though still keeping a gentle grip on his hand.
"Uhm... would you like to sit down for a minute?" She asked, hoping her want to sit out for now wasn't going to cause him offence.

Well I know there are new people, but it's not too bad. I've been around most of them, and they're nothing to fear. Even if they were mean, you know what would happen if they ever picked on you.
As Shinu said it, he saw Bree walk up to himself and Bells. He wasn't exactly prepared for that, but she sure was a sight for sore eyes. After their previous date, it was no secret that he liked her, but he was worried a bit about what Bells would think. He knew she didn't like Anemone, and if she didn't like Bree, that wouldn't be a good thing.
Hi Ms. Bree! This is my sis... good friend Ms. Bells! She's one of my roomates and a very sweet girl. Ms. Bells, this is Ms. Bree. I met her earlier and she is very nice. In fact, I'd bet she has the perfect friend for Herbs. As for your question Ms. Bree, outside of my other roomites Leo and Anemone over there, I'm not too familiar with many of the girls.

Bells looked up in suprise, turning ghostly, and staring right through her. She was praying that she wasn't like Anemone too. It would be a horrible dance if she was. But she seemed to want to meet up with some girls, and make other friends. Bree took Bells hand, and shook it carefully, aware of her anxiety to new people by the expression on her face.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Bree met faces with the paniced girl. She obviously didnt like new people. So she decided to steer clear, but be nice to her. This would make things easier, and maybe later they could get together, and enjoy each others company. That was a good plan..
Hmmm... Anemone? What an odd name. Well I guess I could give her and Leo a shot!If they're Shinu's friend, than they should be ok..
"I think I'll go introduce myself to.. Anemone.. And Leo then." She announced, walking promptly over to the group of kids. They appeared to be playing a game. She walked up behind the girl who Shinu said was Anemone, and stepped in her side view, she didnt want to poke her on the shoulder, it seemed kind of rude for the situation. "Umm.. Hi, I'm Bree." She smiled, hoping this girl would be friendly. That Bells girl seemed to flinch at the sound of Anemone's name.. Odd.

No sooner had Anemone introduced herself to the Neko girl, another girl appeared beside her and, quite forwardly, introduced herself as Bree.
Anemone hadn't seen where she'd come from, so assumed she'd just arrived and had decided to come to them as they were congregated in a group, and it was easier to meet people in a group, than acting as a wall flower. Turning to her, Anemone smiled.
"Hi, I'm Anemone. Nice to meet you." She pasued briefly before going through the group around her too, "this is Hideaki, Cino and we were just waiting for this girl to introduce herself." Smiling again as Mya, Anemone clasped her hands behind her, making a quick glance towards the black haired man again. He was still avaliable. Good.
"I can't say I've seen you around the school before - not that I've been here long - are you very new?" She asked Bree.

She looked over at the other girl, who appeared new to the group. She smiled briefly, and turned back to Anemone. "Um.. No I'm not really new, I just spent most the time shopping, and out.." She didnt want to poor out her details to what she did this morning to some girl she met just now. "I like your dress" She looked down, to examine it further, as if to be polite. "Ermm.. So what are you guys doing?" She said, to start a conversation.. Or at least attempt.
The girl seemed to be looking at someone with a bit of anxiousness. She looked in the direction nonchalantely, and seen a man. He was a little to overdone with the looks to her, so she just ignored the thought. She probably didnt want him to get stolen by some flirty little chick, who was all looks, and no brains. She snorted at that, but hushed herself quickly, so she wouldnt appear wierd.

You see Ms. Bells? She isn't so bad, new people can be kind too.
Shinu paused for a moment and looked over at Bree interacting with everyone else. It was nice to see how sociable she was, and all in all just very kind. He never vocalized what exactly his type of woman truly would be a perfect fit for him. It was so early to call Bree a perfect fit, but she was certainly a good prospect. Shinu wasn't fooling himself, he couldn't stay at this school for long. He needed to make money for his family, and basketball is what he did best. If he was going to be in the underground limelight, he would need his wife to be able to handle the crowds and the publicity with ease and not let it crack her. Money was going to be pouring in from left and right when he went pro, and he needed a modest girl that could handle having a lavish lifestyle at her disposal but remain true to herself. He stopped the thoughts because there was plenty of time for that. Right now he needed to make sure Bells would have fun.
Ms. Bells, you know, if you would like to join them, I'll be more than happy to go over there with you. That way nothing bad can happen, and you can work on that shyness of yours. If you get scared, just grab me and we'll come back. This table will be like our... I don't know safe zone if you will. Sound ok?

Bells wiggled around in her seat, not exactly comfortable to go over to her nemesis's group. She would probably glare at her the entire time. But she was up for a little challenge. And so she nodded, and standed up, crossing her arms. Even though she knew that it was a sign of lack of confidence, she felt more comfortable in the position. She waited patiently for him to stand, and took a step forward.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bree seen Bells and Shinu stand in the corner of her eye. It would be nice for them to join her, but in a odd way, she felt as if it would make things awkward. Bells didnt like Anemone, Bree could definitely tell. She was literally glaring so hard, she thought the girls face would break. But as they came up behind her, she seen her face soften, as if Anemone wouldnt see. She snorted, again hushing herself.

"Oh! How do you like the town?" Anemone asked. "I grew up on Kosaka Island, I guess that makes me Native here." She added as an after thought. That was something, she hadn't met another Native of Kosaka. Everyone else seemed to come from all over the world. America, Europe, but no one from Kosaka. Suddenly Anemone felt very uneasy again.
When Bree complimented her dress, however, Anemone snapped back to the dance and grinned appriciatively. "Thanks. I usually make my own clothes... but this was too nice not to buy. As for what we're playing, truth or dare. At least until the party get started really."
Anemone could feel someone approaching from behind. She almost felt like daggers were being glared into her back, so much so that it sent a small chill up her spine. She didn't need to turn around. She didn't want to. The brat have come to join them.
Wonderful. She inwardly sighed. "Hello Bells." Anemone greeted, plastering a smile across her face. "Glad you could join us." She turned and faced her, "wow. Your dress looks great. It really does suit you."
