The beach is littered with Tiki torches that are dotted out in a large circle. In the centre of the circle is the bonfire and around that are different colour beanie bags, three two-seater couches spaced out and towels laid down across the sand. Some under parasols, some just scattered randomly.
To the right of the bonfire are two beach/volley ball nets set up. Strings of dragon fly lights, borrowed from the Academy of course, are wrapped around wooden posts. Some lead into the shore of the ocean and some are intertwined within the volleyball nets.
To the side, besides an open spaced beach hut, a table has been set up and is surrounded by large speakers. The DJ, a meta human, Technopath from the school has set up shop and is using his abilities, to transfer and route music from his I-pod and laptop through the speakers.
There are two large sandcastles that have been built around two kegs. And by the side of them are large plastic cups of different colours. Red, yellow, blue, green. Around the sandcastles are coolers filled with bottled water, fizzy drinks and juice. Most supplied by the cafeteria at the academy.
Charlize stood with her hands on her hips and surveyed the beach with a satisfied smile. She had, had a lot of help from the students at the academy. A lot of them have very useful abilities that helped the process move along much faster than she had expected.
'Tonight should be fun.'
The sun is beginning to set and already people are beginning to show up for the party. Most attend Kosaka, though it looks like some have just come for fun. Charlize had been back to the academy and had changed into a pair of white shorts, a white bikini top and a pair of sandals, and was now helping some boys with adding more wood to the bonfire.
The bonfire wasn’t as big as she'd hoped it would be, but she didn’t want it to be too dangerous, so decided with the other helpers to keep it at an average size. Not too big but not too small.
Throwing the last piece of wood onto the bonfire, Charlize dusted off her hands.
“All done.” A young man, dressed in a pair of dark swimming shorts threw a piece of wood onto the bonfire and turned his attention to the small girl stood to his right.
“Thanks for the help.” She smiled and patted the tall boy on his bare back. He grinned and then wandered off to go about his own business.
‘It’s almost time.’ Charlize brushed her fingers back through her loose hair and stared out across the beach at the setting sun. As soon as the sun is set, she’d light the bonfire.
Turning her attention from the horizon, the 17 year old glanced around at her surroundings. A lot of people had shown up so far. She hoped a lot of students from the academy would turn up. Flyers upon flyers had been handed out and posted all over the school grounds over the past week. Dustin - a telepath who had aided with the setup had also sent out last minute messages throughout the entire School, so hopefully tonight would be a good turnout.

Anemone had arrived from the sea bed, after making a quick swim from the school to her village and back to visit her brother. The party had been in the process of being set up when she'd left and now was obviously in full swing. She left Fossu in the water, sure he would be safer there. And it also meant she didn't have her mental babysitter with her telling her what she should or should not do. Reaching the shallows, Anemone rose up onto her knees then feet, quickly wringing out her hair.
Already dressed suitably in a red and white striped bikini (albeit she was wet while no one else was), she grabbed a drink from one the table of beverages and food and remained stationary as she downed it quickly. She put the now empty can to one side, and glanced around the area for someone she knew. Unable to spot anyone, she started walking, wrapping her arms around her abdomen while she moved.
--
Frick had offered himself up to the lion's den it seemed. Him being there meant there were enough people in the area to deem the gathering as 'safe'. Or at least as a group of teenager meta-humans could be in an open space, with fire and the possibility of spiking drinks.
He'd dressed for the occasion in a pair of black and red 3/4 length surfing shorts and sandels. He had a t-shirt with him in a duffel bag for when the weather got colder, but that was hidden away behind the drinks, and he felt for now it was unnecessary. Though he was tempted to go and get it. He was getting some of the oddest looks he'd ever experienced from some of the female student body.
First surprise to see him, and then a kind of look of mild admiration once their initial shock had passed. It was making Frick quite self conscious, if he was honest. For now there didn't seem to be any trouble brewing, so he was walking aimlessly. He wanted to find a good vantage point, which was also out of the way.

The bonfire looked brilliant. Honey made her way onto the sands of the beach, barefooted and in nothing but a white open back one-piece that according to the store clerk ‘accented her natural sun-kissed skin beautifully’. In all honesty wearing this swim-suit was a little daring for the 24 year old. Normally she’d come to the beach wearing an overly large shirt and a pair of baggy shorts but had decided to try something different. Though despite that she had risked such huge, drastic and somewhat scary change, she had still brought a large t-shirt with her. ‘There’s a lot of people.’ Honey had volunteered to supervise the beach party tonight. There would no doubt be drinking and things could take a turn for the worse. A fight between drunken meta-human teenagers would not turn out well at all. Hopefully tonight wouldn’t come to that and if it did.. Well that was why Honey was here. But in all honesty she wasn’t sure what she would be able to do if a fight broke out. She probably wasn’t the best person to supervise but the 24 year old loved a good bonfire. It had been years since she had been to one. After making her way across the sand to where drinks were being handed out, Honey had a blue cup filled with juice given to her and was now standing to the side a little ways from the bonfire. Despite feeling a little out of place, with being the only professor here, Honey felt mostly at ease. The air felt warm and the atmosphere was surprisingly relaxing even with all of the people around. “Professor Lehane! Looking hot!” Honey stumbled forward a little after being patted heavily on the back, her face blushing beet red when the teenager who had complimented her shuffled past with a cheeky wink and a thingyy grin. “Um-” Feeling nervous and conscience all of a sudden, the blonde quickly fidgeted with the white material folded up in her hands before pulling it on over her head. The shirt was large.. A little too large and because of this she found herself trying to fit both her arm and head through one of the sleeves - leaving her stuck and struggling. Honey was sure that she’d die of embarrassment if she ever got out of this. _______________ Raiden did not want to be here. In fact at the moment the beach was the last place he wanted to be. It was crawling with kids. In any normal situation there wasn’t a chance in hell the Hanyou would be caught dead at a student party. But of course this wasn’t a normal situation. He had come here because he had promised his sister that he would come down for five minutes and see all of her ‘hard work.’ He had to admit, the beach looked pretty good. It seemed that his little sister was quite the party planner. Making his way across the sand, hands pocketed in his dark jeans, Raiden kept an eye out for ahead of blue hair. Which was a little hard with all of the bodies swarming around. There were students everywhere. He attempted to pick up her scent but it was too difficult - all he could smell was sweat and alcohol and of course the burning wood of the bonfire. Across the beach he could see people sat around the bonfire. Others were standing and some were dancing to the music. And then there was one student he could see struggling to pull on a t-shirt. He stared at the female for a moment and quirked an amused brow when he spotted her bump into a number of people, clearly unable to see. A sigh passed his lips and he shook his head in disbelief. ‘How hard is it to put on a t-shirt?’ was the idle thought that passed through his mind before he returned his attention to looking for his sister.

Frick found a stop, though it appeared to be occupied by someone struggling with thier t-shirt. Mildly amused, and wanting to avoid anyone falling over and breaking their ankle, Frick strode across the sand towards them and tapped their arm. "I think you need some help." He smiled a little to himself, adjusting the shirt, realising the problem the girl was having was trying to pull her head through the wrong hole.
"If you'll just stand still..." He pulled and tugged at the material until both arms were through the correct holes, and a head joined them, again out of the correct place. He was mildly surprised to see the struggling 'student' had been Professor Lehane. But he wasn't that surprised, Professor Lehane did seem to have a habit of making a bit of a scene, without meaning to.
"Are you okay now?" He asked with a lop-sided grin. Her hair was a little bit all over the place, but there was definately something about the Professor that Frick couldn't help but like. "Mind if I join your wall flower club?"
---
Milling around the hords of students had proved a little futile. There was no one she really knew, and the students she knew only by sight were always getting into the festivities, and Anemone didn't really like crashing their party. She felt a little awkward. Literally like a fish out of water, and considered returning to the water to watch the comings and goings from there. Where she wouldn't be disturbed, and she wouldn't disturb them.
She decided to do a last quick round of the area, so see if anyone she knew had arrived since she'd done her previous one (five minutes earlier). She wandered slowly, clasping her fingers behind her back. She noticed a blue haired girl standing a few feet away, currently observing the bonfire.
"Hey." Anemone said, approaching. "Do you mind if I join you?" She grinned at her, trying to disguise her shyness.

Some giggly girls had asked Zack if he was going to the bonfire tonight. And he told them he was of course going as a chaperon. He couldn't just let the students roam about the beach. Things could get out of hand and he had promised the students' parents and loved ones that their children would be safe. He planned to make good on that promise. And so there he was, circling the fire and snapping his lighter open and closed. People were showing up and the crowd was getting a bit bigger as time went on. He recognized a few of the faces and gave them a wink or a smile or a flirty combination of both. He wore a pair of shorts, khaki colored with a white button down, long sleeved t-shirt and a pair of black flip flops. He turned toward the water and tilted his head to study the setting. It was pretty, he had to admit. He had only been to the beach once, on the first day he arrived on the island. And he had promised himself he would come back. But things kept coming up. He shrugged to himself. Now was as good a time as any. Besides, he could really use the break. Without much thought or warning, he stuck his hand into the fire and drew it back out a moment later. A small flame was nestled in his hand and he closed his fingers over it, smothering the flame. He shook his hand before shoving it into his pocket. He was always doing things like that. It was experimentation, so to speak. He wanted to see if his powers had changed any, morphed into something entirely different. And so far, flames still hurt. Not nearly as bad as it would a normal person. It was a dull ache more or less and would grow stronger as time passed. He shrugged and bounced a bit on his feet. Nothing had changed so he supposed it was time he stopped being weird. --- Aysu wasn't a big fan of salt water. She much preferred fresh water. There was just something about the salty air that she didn't too much care for. And yet there she was, in a teal bikini top and white shorts, walking along the surf with her sandals in hand. She was handed a brightly colored flyer earlier that day about the bonfire. It looked like fun and she decided to give it a shot before jumping headfirst into her studies. The school year hadn't even started yet, but she wanted to make sure she was in top form before classes got underway. Aysu bent down and plucked a shell from the water, brushing the wet sand from the shiny surface. She'd keep it. After washing it thoroughly that is, at least to attempt to get rid of that awful salty smell. She walked out of the water and headed for the table with the drinks. Punch definitely sounded it good. She was thirsty. It must be the that salty air.

Honey whirled around after hearing that someone wanted to offer her some much needed help. A few minutes later and her shirt sat comfortably over her shoulders and she found herself slipping into another of her nervous unnecessary explanations. “This doesn't normally - I mean I just got a little cold so I was putting on my shirt and - well I guess you’re thinking how does someone manage to get stuck in a t-shirt but you know my mom always said that I have little to no common sen --” Once she had hastily straightened out her hair and had finished fidgeting with her large glasses which were now bent at an odd angle and sat crooked on her nose, her rant slowed to a stop. Honey stared up at the man who had saved her from making a total and complete idiot out of herself (if she hadn’t already) and wished that she could just curl up and weep. Of all the people that could have helped her out - it was a professor. Honey lowered her head almost immediately. “Th-thanks.” She mumbled finally, her cheeks flustered from both her struggle and the somewhat unbearable embarrassment she now felt. Of course her embarrassment triggered one of her meta-human powers - invisibilty. She hadn't realised. The blonde dreaded what the taller Professor must be thinking of her at the moment. The last thing she wanted or needed was the professors thinking she was a total moron. They were less likely to take her seriously as a professor if they did. “I’m okay.” She replied with a nod, still unaware that she'd turned into a ghost. It was only when her fingers began tugging at the hem of her shirt, (it barely passed mid-thigh and she could have sworn this shirt was larger.) - that she realised that she was in fact invisible. 'Great..' she sighed, glancing at the tall professor stood to her right, checking to see if he had realised that he was stood next to nothing but a floating T-shirt. __________________ Charlize was stood not to far from the bonfire, her hands on her hips and her golden eyes staring as if in a trance at the flames that twisted and danced off into the dark sky. Fire could be pretty. Beautiful even. Beautiful yet dangerous. Get to close and it would burn you. ‘Or not..’ She faltered slightly when she spotted a male, one she didn’t recognise, sticking his hand in the fire. ‘Huh..’ She wasn’t sure why the action had seemed strange to her. She did attend a school for the weird and unusual after all. Shrugging, Charlize briefly scanned the area with golden eyes before someone had caught her attention. “Sure.” Charlize offered the newcomer a friendly smile “I’m Charlize.” She introduced herself and went on, not one for the awkward silences that arose whenever meeting someone new. “You go to Kosaka, right?”

Felix 'Phil' Felicis:
Anemone wasn't the only creature stalking around this area: My four paws padded almost noiselessly over the sand, seeking the warmth waiting for me by the bonfire itself. People didn't usually pay me much attention; all they saw was a little black house-cat prowling around, but I was much more than an ordinary cat.
Before dusk had faded to the dark of night, I'd spotted and chased-down a flyer to this bonfire-party-thing I'd seen fluttering along the acadamy's grounds. The chase was fun, but unlike ordinary cats I could also read and understand the flyer. I'd decided this was probably a good place to get the measure of whichever students attended, and resolved to come down here after dumping my little felt bag in the dorm I'd been assigned to.
As I continued toward the fire, I looked up at the faces around me to see if that would catch anyones attention.
It turned out it was going to take more than looking at people to get their attention, so I eventually approached someone at random. I chose two people who seemed to be chatting amicably with each other, figuring they might be friendly by the tone with which they conversed. As I approached them, I called out a greeting:
<Hello,> I said in their heads, <I'm Felix, a new student at Kosaka. How do you do!> I wondered for a moment whether they'd realize where my voice was coming from...

Frick's lips spread in a small grin as Honey babbled into a rant to excuse her silliness. He didn't think she needed to, but obviously it was going to make her feel better so he let her rant, keeping an eye on her rather oddly placed glasses. She was flustered and fidgiting like mad. Not that this surprised him much, the little he knew about Professor Lehane was that she was self-concious. That's how she came across. She was about as attentive as he was, and she was pretty unsure of herself. But that was kind of endearing.
He decided not to comment on the impromtu rant about her difficult with her clothing, thinking this would only make matters worse, and smily decided to nod when she had finished, and when she confirmed she was okay. "Well thats good." He confirmed stepping gratefully in the spot she made for him. "At least you didn't fall over - that really would have been embaressing." He meant the comment as a joke, but felt that maybe they hadn't been the best choice of words and uneasily cleared his throat.
Frick was silent for a while, as Honey seemed to compose herself. He was occupied, looking around the area at the goings-on, trying to spot aby trouble before it happened. He decided to make an attempt at awkward conversation. "Its pretty impressive this, isn't it? We should probably commend the student who managed it... provided the night goes on without a hitch." He smiled at the blonde professor, while gently scratching one of his horns.
He noticed then he was talking to a floating shirt. Arching an eyebrow he considered pointing it out. She had probably become invisible because she was flustered, and pointing it may have made matters worse, so he decided not to make a big deal out of it and cleared his throat again, grinning. "Did you want a drink?"
--
While Anemone waited for the blue haired girl to respond, she glanced across the crowd spotting a dark haired man with his hand in the flame. She blinked several times. Even her brother, Fyran showed pain when he put a limb into direct flame... this man apparently not. Shouldn't have been that surprising. Everyone had different pain thresholds and everyone who had powers had them in different way. Still - it was kind of cool.
Looking at the girl as she introduced herself, Anemone nodded, "yeah - who doesn't. Y'know?" She grinned a little, "I'm Anemone by the way. So... have you been going to the school long? Or is this your first year...?" Anemone paused, another voice entering her head. A telepath? Looking around at her eye level. She couldn't see anyone, but then a telepath could operate from quite a way away, at least that was her belief.
Glancing at Charlize, Anemone chewed the inside of her cheek for a moment before speaking, "tell me you heard that voice too and I'm not going crazy."

It was a wonderful fire, he had to admit. But Christopher didn't care about the party. He hated partying. He liked the beach and he liked fires. Chris figureed he'd loosen up by the end of the night, but for now, he was sitting on a beach towel reading a book in his crimson and navy blue swimming shorts. It was a good book about some geeky comic book kid growing up and realizing the world wasn't as terrible as he had thought it was.
When not staring at the words on the paper, he was happily enjoying the view of all of the women around him. He laughed inwardly, and continued reading.
He eventually got bored with it, and he put his book downon top of his towel. Chris took a deep breath, kicked off his sandals, pulled off his white t-shirt, and ran towards the water, shifting into Form Aqua. As soon as he hit the water, he began to create a block of ice that he used as a surf board, manipulating the water to speed him out towards where the larger waves were.
He made it all the way back to the shore, then the water manipulator did it again.

“You’re right, falling over would have been really embarrassing.” Honey agreed with a sheepish giggle at herself. Frick’s comment had helped some. Looking at the brighter side of the whole ‘T-shirt ordeal’ eased her embarrassment and caused her invisibility to flicker, though her still remained transparent. Humming in agreement with the idea of praising the student(s) who had organised the event, choosing to behave normal - like she wasn’t invisible - like there weren’t people staring and pointing. Honey absently tucked a strand of blonde hair behind her ear, smiling a little when a comment was made about this party not being her scene. Frick was right. Honey wasn’t exactly what one would call a party girl. In fact this had to be her very first official ‘School party’. It hadn’t started well so far. But things could be worse, so her mood didn’t stay low. “A drink would be nice.” She said quickly, smiling again, despite the fact that Frick couldn’t see it. In fact he hadn’t really said anything about her being transparent. Not that she minded. In fact she was grateful, any more embarrassment would make it harder for to appear visible again. Once she was alone, she was sure she’d be able to regain her composure. _________________ “I haven’t been here long.” Charlize explained to Anemone, “Just a few-” She stopped short, along with Anemone and blinked slowly. “Huh?” The blue-nette glanced around in all directions, curious as to who it was using telepathy directed at her. Nobody seemed to be looking at her though. Maybe someone had accidentally linked with her.. Either that or someone was trying to trick her. “Yeah, I heard it too..” Charlize trailed off, her eyes doing another round of searching. After a moment she shrugged, brushing away her curiosity. “Weird.” Shaking her head lightly, Charlize returned her attention to Anemone - about to ask whether or not she wanted a drink when her golden eyes quickly locked onto a familiar figure approaching from across the sand. “Dusk!” Charlize grinned happily and moved in to hug her older brother once he had reached her. Charlize knew that he wasn’t one for PDA’s. He never had been. But ever since the pair had been reunited all she wanted to do upon seeing him was give him bone crushing hugs. “Hey.” Raiden replied and pulled a hand free from his pocket so that he could embrace the smaller girl in a one armed hug. The corner of his mouth twitched up into a small yet warm smile when Charlize pulled away and began gloating about how ‘Everyone thinks the beach looks great!!’ and about how she‘s a ‘Total genius.’ “It looks good.” He commented whilst his eyes scanned the surrounding area. Only glancing back to Charlize when she asked if he’d be staying. “No.” He replied and placed a hand on her head, messing up her hair a little in the process. “Five minutes remember.” “Yeah, yeah. I got it.” Charlize pouted and swatted at his hand so that she could tidy up her hair. “I’m just glad you came.” It was only when Charlize swatted away his hand that Raiden allowed his maroon eyes to flicker to Anemone. He’d been aware of her presence. In fact he’d been aware that she was on the beach the moment he hopped off of his bike. Her scent was the only one he could make out in the haze of perspiration and smoke. He couldn’t even find his sisters scent until he had been in close proximity. But Anemone - he could smell her from across the beach. “Oh yeah-” Charlize started suddenly, interrupting Raidens train of thought. “Du-uh-Raiden.” She corrected, and then indicated to each of them in turn as she made the introductions. “This is Anemone. Anemone, Raiden.” Raiden simply nodded an ‘hello’, not saying anything to let Charlize know that he knew Anemone quite well. “Do you two know each other?” Charlize questioned suddenly, breaking the now awkward silence. Her golden eyes glanced between both Raiden and the new girl. And then her nostrils flared and her eyes widened a fraction, curiosity evident in them. “Wait, are you -” Charlize stopped short when she heard a quiet mew. Glancing down, her eyes landed on a small black and white cat sat at her feet. “Hey buddy.” Charlize bent down and carefully scooped the cat up into her hands. She stood up straight and tucked the cat in one arm. “What are you doing out here, huh?” she questioned, her fingers gently scratching at a fury ear, momentarily forgetting the question she had started. “The cat is a student.” Raiden said, an amused smirk pulling at his lips. He wasn’t one for remembering each student that attends Kosaka. But he and the other professors had been informed, not too long ago, that a student with the body of a cat would be attending the school shortly. He had been told to read through the new students profile and has seen him on a few occasions making his way around the school halls. “Ah..” Charlize said awkwardly and carefully placed the cat back onto the sand. “Sorry.” She half chuckled with a strained smile, as her fingers scratched at an ear. “Embarrassing!”

Felix Felicis:
I sighed inwardly after my failed attempt at getting attention via thought-speak alone: This thoughtspeak ability, though useful for communicating, doesn't lend itself well for identifying where it is coming from. Even directionally. I decided 'low-tech' was the way to go, in the end:
"Meow." I mewled, looking up at the girls whom my thoughtspeak had confused. Nothing beats a good old-fashioned meow to get attention. It worked too, for one of them picked me up.
I'd been listening to the conversation ever since I'd started to approach the girls - One of the benefits of feline hearing - So I was already aware the girls were called Charlize and Anemone, and the guy who'd joined them was introduced to Anemone as Raiden, though Charlize had greeted him as 'Dusk' herself, which I can only assume is some kind of informal nickname between the two, as Charlize had almost introduced him to Anemone as Dusk but changed it to Raiden at the last second.
At my mewl, Charlize's eyes found me. She greeted me and then scooped me up carefully into her arms as she stood back up. The move wasn’t totally unexpected, but I chose to allow it because of how careful she’d been, and the fact she was female helped of course.
As she tucked me under her arm, she asked what I was doing out here. I was just about to introduce myself and reply when she started to scratch behind my ear. – I love it when people do that to me! – My eyes closed instinctively at the sensation, but then the Raiden bloke had to spoil it: As soon as she’d been told I was a student, she was putting me back down on the ground and probably feeling awkward. She apologized to me, evidently for picking me up without asking, then exclaimed the word ‘Embarrassing’ as she scratched behind my ear again – which to me, was ample apology by itself!

Honey agreed with him about the T-shirt problem and it cause Frick to smile. Despite the recent happenings in the past, Frick refused to be a pessimist (in the presence of others at least) so tried to keep himself upbeat, and hoped it would rub off on other people. Especially people who needed it, like Professor Lehane did.
She also agreed to a drink, and he nodded, wandering towards the water cooler. He picked up a couple of sodas, thinking that drinking probably wouldn't be a good idea if they were meant to be on the look out for trouble. Being inembriated and using powers never worked very well together - in Frick's wild experience anyway. Plus is wasn't sure if the blonde woman drank. As he turned to go back to her, he noticed one of his older Chemistry students giving him a knowing grin and a thumbs up. Frick rolled his eyes, shooting a small spark in the boy's direction. He then returned to Honey.
"Here ya go." He held the can out to the floating t-shirt. He had to grin a little. Not because he thought she was stupid, but the general appearance of this was probably amusing to an onlooker. Him talking to a floating shirt. He kept the can held out, unsure of where Honey's hand and fingers were. He didn't want to drop the object and accidently hit her foot, or his for that matter. "I guess I didn't ask what you like, sorry about that." Frick grinned sheepishly. He suddenly felt a little uncomfortable. Like a teenager again - it was weird. He wasn't liking it.
---
Anemone tried to listen as Charlize started answering her question. When she stopped she was sure it was the same reason she had stopped speaking too and felt relieved when Charlize admitted hearing the voice. "Oh good. I'm not losing my mind then." Anemone laughed a little, watching as Charlize shook her head and turned her attention to her. Only for it to be stolen by something over her shoulder.
She flinched instinctively to Charlize's call over her shoulder. More new people. Anemone turned in time to see Charlize squeezing a familiar silver hair figure. Immediately Anemone's heart rate rose and she found breathing a difficulty. Her skin suddenly felt warm and she didn't have to look at herself to know she was glowing. She grinned, awkwardly hating the nerves churning her stomach.
Her gaze managed to leave Raiden for a minute as Charlize introduced them. Raiden nodded at her, and Anemone managed to choke on her attempt at an 'introduction'. "Nice to meet you." She managed to get out, her awkward grin returning and the want to disappear into the waves also making a drastic return.
Calm down. Gods, you're acting like an idiot. Its just Raiden. Now stop being stupid. Anemone told herself harshly.
A mewl caught her attention, dragging it away from Raiden to the cat in Charlize's arms. Anemone grinned, using her height to peer over Charlize's shoulder at it. "A student, really?" Anemone repeated Raiden's fairly blank explaination. As soon as Charlize and put it down, Anemone hand bent scooping the feline back up again, intrigued and far too curious for her own good.
"You're a shape shifter, right?" Anemone murmured, eyeing the feline carefully before lying it flat in her arms, instinctively rubbing its ears. "Well - you're pretty darn cute in this form..." Continuing to rub his head, Anemone calmed considerably, her cerulean glow dimming somewhat to a less bright wattage. "How come you're not sticking around?" her question was aimed at Raiden though she kept her eyes on the cat-student.
((OOC: So, I wasn't sure when this was set. Like, before all the Raiden/Anemone interaction on the other board or after. So... I kind of have her reaction based on an "after" effect. Tell me if its not and I'll change it. :] ))

"This is good, thanks." Honey smiled, taking the offered soda between her invisible fingers. It was then she noticed the colour of her skin flicker before her eyes. 'Oh-' Closing her eyes, Honey concentrated her entire being on becoming visible again. Her embarrassment had ebbed enough for her not to feel like she wanted to bury her head in the sand, which made the whole task easier. Slowly, Honey blinked open one eye and then another. 'Great!' She smiled brightly, happy with her achievement and then looked to Frick. "Sorry..about that." She mumbled through a chuckle, gracing him with her own sheepish smile, her fingers pushing up her large glasses that were sat crooked on her nose. "It happens.. sometimes." _______________ "I have better things to do." Raiden answered shortly, his eyes trained on the bonfire, refusing to aknowledge Anemone any further. "What's better than hanging out with your awesome sister at her awesome beach party?" Charlize teased, sticking out her tongue at Raiden when he rolled his eyes. “So, how about some drinks?” Charlize questioned and glanced in turn around the small circle of people. “Hey, where're you going?” Charlize said suddenly, when she spotted Raiden slipping away from the group. “Drinks.” He answered simply, stuffed his hands into his pockets and wandered off through the crowd. Charlize half frowned and turned back to the two newcomers. “Sorry.” she apologised with a slight grimace. “He’s not much of a talker.” “Hey ladies. ” “Jason.” Charlize grimaced again, when a tall lanky figure fumbled his arm over her small shoulders. Charlize was sure that if she didn’t have her strength she would‘ve crumbled under his weight. The guy was practically lying on her. “You’re drunk already?” She hissed and attempted to turn her face away when her sensitive nose caught the scent of his nasty smelling breath. It was enough to make her want to gag. “We started the party early. ” He drawled into her ear, his wet lips brushing her cheek a little. “Oh god.” Charlize whined and forcefully shoved the tall teen away, causing him to stumble across the sand. After regaining his balance he wandered back over, beer bottle still clutched in long fingers and glared accusingly at the blue haired teen. “C’mon Char. ” he hiccupped, his face torn between what Charlize guessed was his attempt at pulling off the whole ‘puppy dog-eyed’ look and confusion. “We’re friends right? ”No. She had wanted to say. She only really knew him through two of the classes they shared up at the school. “Sure, when you’re not a complete wreck.” Charlize commented, and snatched the beer bottle from his hand. “Lay off the alcohol.” “Psh. ” He huffed and instead of arguing with Charlize, swirled to look at Anemone. “Hey babe. ” He leered, wet lips splitting into a wide grin. ((OOC: It's okay, Silver. I was wondering the same thing too, haha. The Bonfire could be after everything that's happened.))

Frick grinned as Honey accepted the soda he offered to her. She seemed to notice at that point that she was see through, and fell silent.
Interested - but not wanted to put her on the spot - Frick watched vaguely, while letting his eyes flicker the the goings on around them. More students were arriving as the minutes roled by, and some of the students who had been here longest were becoming gradually inebriated. This made Frick concerned as he hadn't been aware that alcohol would be provided and he didn't want any of the underage or student with more volatile powers getting their hands on it.
He would step in if things took a turn... but for now he was just keeping an eye on things.
Turning his full attention to Honey when she apologised to him for turning invisible Frick shrugged and offered a crooked grin. "Its okay, no need to apologise. Powers can be a pain like that." He was speaking from experience. When he had been a child and his powers were just beginning to develop for two years barely a day when by where he didn't set something on fire by pointing at it.
He watched as Honey pushed her glasses up her nose and instinctively lifted his hands to straighten them on her face, grasping the delicate rim between long fingers. He adjusted them, bending his knees slightly to get them as spot on as he could. "They were crooked." Frick explained, grinning again. The awkward feeling washed over him and he took a long drink from his can.
"So, like," he cleared his throat, "how long have you been teaching?" It was the lamest question he thought he'd ever asked someone, but he was trying to will the uncomfortable feeling away and asking the basics seemed a good idea.

Anemone managed a small glance at Raiden as he answered her question. She didn't remark, just whispered: "oh." To herself, again focusing on the feline student she was cradling. Sighing quietly she didn't want to acknowledge the sharp pain that had reacted to Raiden's abrupt answer. She had been expecting this, she knew that this was the "real" Raiden, the one that was more dominant and that this was his more usual personality. That the one she had kissed and argued with was dormant now for a time.
Obviously she was going to have to worm her way back through the defences of "normal" Raiden. She just hoped her emotions could handle it.
Looking up, plastering a grin on her face as Charlize apologised for his behaviour Anemone shook her head to signify an apology wasn't necessary. "That's siblings for you. I have several older brothers. The oldest is exactly the same when around people."
As the newcomer, the slurring and leering new comer arrived, weighing down on Charlize, Anemone recoiled taking an uneasy step back. Her grip tightened on the warm cat in her arms, in the same way the rest of her body tensed. This was what she had been worried about. She had limited experience with men, more so when they were drunk. She'd heard stories and seen what people could be like when under the influence. It had never been something she wanted to experience or be exposed to - so the new comer's obvious 'cheerfulness' put her on edge.
She was impressed wtih how Charlize handled the situation. She didn't make a big deal of it. Simply shoved him off and likewise telling him to back off - in not so many words. Going as far as to snatch the liquid responsible for his state from his hands. An act that Anemone felt was both brave and somewhat foolish. This Jason was bigger than her, now doubt stronger too. If he disliked what Charlize did there was no telling if his temper would flare.
It didn't, as it happened. Instead his attention turned to her. The grin his mouth crawled into made Anemone cringe and she took several more steps back. She dropped her arms, letting the cat student tumble to the sand. Instinctively her markings had reacted to her uneasy emotion, sending her bright blue. She couldn't think of anything to say, so muttered "hello" at the sand.
Moments like this really made her wish she was braver.

"Uh-th-thanks." Honey stumbled over her words, her cheeks blushing a pretty pink when Frick fixed her glasses. Mentally she cursed her shy awkwardness. Really, she wasn't used to male attention at all - not even friendly male attention. 'He must think I'm an utter moron.' Her mind droned on unhappily. Of course it wouldn't be much of a surprise, most of the faculty must have thought that way about her. Taking a healthy mouthful of her soda, Honey joined Frick in watching the students go about enjoying themselves. "Not long." Honey explained in reply to his question. "I'm kind of fresh out of university." The only teaching she'd done so far was when she'd been on work experience. If that counted as being an actual teacher then she'd say she'd been teaching a few months. However she doubted it did. "Kosaka is my first actual job." Taking another mouthful of soda, Honey tilted her head to the side when she looked at Frick. "How long have you been teaching?" And then the music changed and Honey squealed. "I love this song!" she cheered, unable to hide her excitement. It was her favourite song at the moment. A song she'd dance around all silly to her in her apartment, carefree. "Sorry." she bumbled through a sheepish smile, her face rivalling the colour of a tomato. "I just- It's my favourite." ___________ “Jason.” Charlize snapped, her voice heavily laced with warning. He was asking for an asskicking. “Knock it off.” She grabbed his bare arm, though the moment she did an electric spark lit up around her hand and seconds later an agonizing pain shook her entire body to the core. Charlize yelped and crumbled to the sand, her entire body in temporary shock. “Weak.” Jason drawled, casting a brief glance over his shoulder at Charlize. He turned his eyes back to Anemone, stumbled over and placed an arm over her shoulder. “Why haven’t I seen you before?” He hiccupped again, raking his fingers through the front of her hair. Raiden had returned with three cans of soda when he saw his sister curled upon the floor. Discarding the cans he hurried over to help Charlize up. “Are you okay? What happened?” “Yeah..” Charlize mumbled warily as she sat up, one hand rubbing at her head through locks of blue hair. “That bastard shocked me..” Following Charlize’s indication, Raiden looked up to see the Jock leaning all over Anemone, a crude smirk on his face. His jaw tightened. Narrowing his maroon eyes into a glare, Raiden helped Charlize stand and stalked over to where Anemone was stood. A girlish squeal that could’ve put a pigs cry to shame, ripped through the air when Jason fell to the sand. Raiden had grabbed a handful of the back of his shirt and had slammed him back into the ground so fast and hard, that his feet had left the ground. “ Get. Lost.” Raiden all but snarled, his maroon eyes narrowed into a dark glare. He stood, tensed, one arm curled around Anemone's waist - pressing her into his side, ready to beat the jock into a bloody pulp if he didn't get out of his sight this very second. Jason blinked - one, two, three times - dropped his eyes to the one armed embrace Raiden had Anemone in - opened his mouth to protest (but thought better of it) - scrambled to his feet and half limped - half ran away. After watching Jason hurry his way off of the beach, Raiden relaxed completely, his arm immediately slipping from Anemone's waist. "You okay?"
