Class rooms were tidy, all new desks, new chairs. New books were ordered, and had been placed in neat piles on book shelves, ready for the new school year.
New teachers would be coming.
New students.
The grounds of the school were perfect, pristine. They had been under heavy repair since the Spring, and work that should have taken four weeks had taken over three months. But it was done now. The new water feature was the centre point of the courtyard. Gardens were well tended, and the last of the flowers had their blooms. They would be gone soon, but could be enjoyed for now.
It was a good, positive out look.
Casper was happy to be back from his summer away. He had missed the school while the work had gone on. But he was back now, and hoped this year would be better than previous.
It was a few weeks before the new students would arrive, and not much left to do in the preparation of the school - but he would go around each room and check everything twice until he was happy.
