The TV was on some G-rated show, a cartoon that if it wasn't a cartoon would probably be PG or something of that sort. In one chair, a pair of feet could be seen peeking out, over the arm, and if someone walked around to the side, equal to the arm, that person would find a sleeping, or napping, Abigail Wood in the school uniform.
She shifted and snuggled back into the chair more as she curled up into the seat of the big, plushy, chair. In her arms, clinging to the stuffed rabbit in her sleep as she slept quietly on.
Gently snuggling closer to the other arm of the chair, and let out a soft sigh, her eyelashes were black cresents against her pale cheeks as she let out a soft sigh, before she relaxed more against the plushy chair.
She turned over in her sleep, and turned against the back of the chair, her uniform not doing anything beyond trapping her slightly. It didn't show anything, and she smiled a little, before relaxing happily in the chair.
Of course, as someone came closer, they would realize that the stuffed bunny wasn't the only thing that she was snuggling and cuddling with, but a black cat as well. She almost seemed to be clinging to the cat.

Silver had taken to spending her free time wandering around the school, more often than not she chose to walk through the grounds outside, or spend time in the courtyard or library. Anywhere it was quiet, and when she had grown bored with the sanctity of her room. The room she liked, not sharing with anyone had its perks. The only other creature was Thanoss and he rather liked the stuffiness of the room that she sometimes found difficult to deal with.
So far today, Silver had walked the school grounds twice, and spent three hours in the library skimming through books and reading paragraphs about a history she had missed out on. She enjoyed reaquainting herself with the time she missed, spending three hundred years in the underground meant she had missed a lot of events. Like Elizabeth becoming Queen of England. And Martin Luther King. The first and second World Wars and the bombing of Hiroshima. Not necessarily nice things to read about, in fact it further tarnished her view of the human world - but things she felt she should know.
Now, as she wandered into the lobby, drawn by the sound of a childish programme she looked puzzled unable to see another in the room. She assumed the machine had been left on by one of the students - and accident, but it still irritated her a little. She shrugged though and approached the box, starting to flick channels to find something intelligent to watch - hopefully the news.

The feet shifted slightly as the channels began to change and she suddenly made a loud yawning sound, sitting up and letting go of Felix...well, letting go of Felix then sitting up. She was still holding onto the bunny rabbit and she yawned, rubbing her eyes slightly, in hopes of clearing out the sleep.
She shifted and stared as the channels began to change on their own, or had been. She was really too sleepy to think, in all honesty, and continued to rub her eyes. She felt tired still, though a cat nap, at this thought she giggled softly had it's advantages.
She yawned again and shook her head, her hair flipping around her face in strange patterns. She looked around and began to shift slightly, being careful not to disturb her cat companion, finding Silver. "Oh...it's you who has the remote..." she mumbled softly, then looked around.
"Or, I sit on it," she mumbled sleepily, her voice slurring softly.

Felix Felicis:
My sleeping-companion moved, causing my mind to awaken to its surroundings. I didn't open my eyes straight-away, figuring maybe Abigail was just fidgeting in her sleep like the kids back home did. When she started to talk, however, I realized she was properly awake. I cracked an eyelid and peered around, lifting my head slightly. My eye locked on to the girl sharing the chair with me: <Good morning, Abi. Is it time to get up already?> My thought-speak greeting was directed only at Abigail, but if there was a telepath around they would also 'hear' me.

Silver frozen, surprised by the sudden sound that came from behind her. She avoided her first instinct to attack, and simple gripped her hands into fists, spinning on the spot. Her gaze landed on a girl... a child clutching a toy rabbit, resting in a chair joined by a black cat. She sneered to herself, then school her expression so it was perfectly impassive. The girl mumbled something about the channels changing and Silver shrugged.
"I don't know where the remote is. I was flicking." Silver answered, continuing to take in the scene she had disturbed. She was alerted by the cat moving now too, distubred by the blonde child's fidgiting. Stupid kid. Who fell asleep in front of a blaring television anyway.
Scowling she turned back to the television and continued to flick, she hated cable. A billion channels, and she couldn't find the bloody news! Growling in frustration, she switched the machine off. Books were better, at least she got what she wanted straight away. Turning back to the child and cat, she looked down at them both, folding her arms.
"...Who are you anyway?" She asked, half abrasive, half awkward. Making conversation had never been her strong point. Least of all which children. After all - what could you have in common with a child when you were over seven centuries old.

Abigail shifted slightly and then looked down at Felix. "Yeah, time to get up Felix. Someone's here...we slept on the chair," she answered quietly, rubbing her eyes before looking over at Silver.
She felt her heart sink when she realized this was going to be another person who didn't like her. She didn't understand, though was otherwise just a little upset. "Flicking?" she asked softly, looking back and forth between the other, then the TV.
Shifting a bit more, she hugged the bunny rabbit to her chest tighter. She looked quiet and her fingers began to pet Bun-Bun's well worn head, down to the end of one of his well worn ears. She shrugged a little, and ignored the tone.
Smiling at Silver, she answered, "I'm Abigail Wood."
She reached over, shifting so Bun-Bun's was under one arm, and pet Felix a little, with a small smile.

Felix Felicis:
I rolled onto my stomach and stood up on the chair-seat, then I stretched the way all cats do: Front paws gripping the woven chair-material, back legs pushing backward stretching my spine, I stretched my ears too, folding them back as I yawned noislessly, taking in the conversation between Abi and the newcomer as I did so. The newcomer asked who we were without introducing herself first, which wasn't a good sign, but Abi answered just the same so I looked at the newcomer and figured I might as well join in the conversation at this point.
I leaned into Abi's hand as it approached to pet me, and responded to the newcomer: <And I'm Felix Felicis.> I was tempted to ask her name, but something about her manner told me to keep it short and see how she reacted to my form of communication first: She looked like simmering water, ready to boil at any moment.

"Yes, flicking." Silver retorted impatiently. Surely everyone knew what flicking was. Changing channels quickly - though in this case it had done nothing and she had not found what she wanted any faster. In fact she hadn't found it at all.
The girl smiled and introduced herself as Abigail. Silver arched a brow, and her eyes darted to the feline as it, too, introduced itself, its voice echoing in her head. A speaking feline, probably a student stuck in that form by a curse of genetics. She wasn't especially shocked but the words from the cat. She had come across humans in animal form before, technically that was what gargoyles fell under.
She shifted her weight from one foot to the other, c0cking an brow at the pair. They looked... harmless enough. But she couldn't be sure. She liked to keep her guard up, for her own sake. "I'm Silver." She introduced herself, finally, still eyeing the pair suspiciously.
She turned back to the television, willing to give cable another go. She turned the machine on and began running through channels again. "I hope you weren't watching that show. Shows with an IQ level in the single digits bother me."

Abigail shifted uncomfortably at Silver's words. She had no clue what flicking was, but she didn't ask. It confused her at times, though she let Silver do as she wished. Not that Abigail would try to stop her, or anything, but the girl was extremely fragile in the emotional area, most likely linked to her abusive past.
She shifted a little and pet Felix more, enjoying being with him. He was cuddly and cute, though he probably didn't want to hear that second part. She placed Bun-Bun on her lap and shifted so she could pet Felix with both hands, rubbing his ears while also scratching him gently on that spot inbetween his shoulders.
She looked up at Silver's comment and answered, "Not really...I just wanted sound...and at the time Pink Panther was on, which is all music. I don't like cable...it's confusing."
She shrugged slightly at that and gently leaned over to rub her forhead a little against the cat's head as well. She shifted her hands and gently scratched his chest with her thumbs while the her fingers worked gently on his shoulder sides.

Felix Felicis:
I was relieved: Apparently my concerns about her body-language were misplaced. When she introduced herself as 'Silver', she still had an air of suspicion in her expression, but I spoke again anyway;
<I'm pleased to make your acquaintence, Silver. If I knew what sort of TV show you were looking for, I'm sure I could help you find it quicker.> My offer wasn't entirely self-less: Every time the station changed, there was an annoying blip of ultrasonic; Probably caused by the electronics of the set. Also, a single channel was easier to ignore than several in sequence.
I had met very few people since my arrival at Kosaka Acadamy, indeed I still carried everything I'd arrived with in my black felt pouch hanging from my neck, so I hoped to attempt friendship with everyone I meet. Abigail was friendly enough - indeed there was no hesitation when she petted me, she'd accepted me straight-away. I could see Silver wasn't cast from the same mould; She'd probably take time and effort to warm to me, if at all... Still, Abi was doing a more-than-adequate job of keeping me happy petting-wise.
I saw her shift so she could reach me with both hands, soon enough she was attending my ears and shoulderblades. She said something back to Silver, but I was too distracted by her touch to notice what it was. As she nuzzled her forehead into mine, I pushed back with my own against hers, returning the same pressure. Her thumbs scratched my chest under my felt pouch as her fingers continued their ministrations on my shoulders. Needless to say, I was in kitty-heaven. I purred like a mad-thing and closed my eyes as I enjoyed the moment.

"Fine, fine." Silver muttered continuing to very the quickly passing channels. So the kid fell asleep by accident. It could happen. Silver had never been so lucky as to be able to find slumber with noise around. She had to have utterly silence - which was tricky when you lived in the Underworld and could hear souls being torture in the Inferno. But it didn't take long to get desensitised to that. "I don't like cable that much either." She added. She'd found news - in Arabic, she was getting close.
She paused in her flicking as the cat, Felix, rambled. People - or in this case - animals who spoke too much were irritating. What was wrong with sayin what you mean in as few words as possible.
"No thanks." Silver replied curtly not bothering to look at the pair. They knew she was talking to them, there was no one else in the room, who else would she be speaking to. The only time she chanced a look was as the noise of purring hit her ears. She glanced over her shoulder at the pair. Felix looked in heaven and the child, Abigail seemed rather happy too. Silver felt her lips tug in what might have been a smile, but she schooled it immediately and turned back to the television.
"Stupid channels... its gotta be here somewhere!"

Abigail just shrugged a little at what Silver said. She couldn't sleep in pure silence, there had to be something...silence unerved her and made her want to hide away from unseen evils that creeped inside the walls of her mind. Instead, she just pet Felix, to rid herself of those thoughts.
She had no idea that Silver had started to smile, she just kept petting Felix, before she muttered, "I don't think she enjoyed the suggestion."
She wasn't sure what to do, really. She just kept petting Felix, though was forced to stop when she heard the comment, and looked up. "Evil cable," Abigail commented very softly in responce, and focused on petting Felix, smiling at the black cat gently.

Felix Felicis:
I heard Silver decline my offer to assist her finding what she was after, and nearly said 'Suit yourself', but decided against it for two good reasons: 1, I had only just met this person and didn't want to show any disrespect to her yet without a much better reason, and 2, I was far more interested in what Abi was doing to me than in 'saying' anything meaningless.
Of course, with my eyes still closed I couldn't see any body-language or expression from either of them, so I re-opened my eyes whenever Abi wasn't touching my head. If Silver preferred to waste time rather than accept any help offered, that was her problem. If I hadn't offered, I would have held some of the blame and I'd have felt guilty for not offering.
Abi said something that seemed to vaguely relate to Silver's reaction to my offer, but I didn't want to interrupt what she was doing by replying.

"Yeah," Silver chuckled once, "cable is evil." Another glance over her shoulder. Okay - so maube the kid wasn't so bad. Kids usuallly weren't until they were corrupted by adulthood. Silver sighed, shaking her head. What was she thinking, all humans were the same, regardless of age.
Finally flicking onto the correct channel, Silver stepped back, watching the headlines flash up with a serious expression on her face. She'd felt something earlier, something that made her core shake and shudder, and Thanoss had started sounding an alarm which meant Lucifer had surfaced. It wasn't unsual - Lucifer surfaced a lot nowadays, but it always put Silver on edge. He still didn't know of her existance, and if he found out it would be a matter of time before she was hunted down.
After all - she was meant to be dead.
She watched the story she had wanted to see; a train crash killing an estimated two hundred people, though the death toll was still rising. Done out of sheer blood lust.
Turning the channel off, Silver retreated to one of the sofas and sat back exhaling. "Well... I suppose it could have been worse." She muttered to herself. She glanced at Abigail and shifted uncomfortably, "sorry for snapping at you before. My mind was otherwise preoccupied."

Abigail smiled down at Felix and kept working on petting him, though almost seemed to jerk when she looked up at the news, even as she pet him. She seemed to stare blankly at the TV, absorbing the horror there. She noticeably snapped out of her daze when the TV flicked off and she focused back down on petting Felix.
She was trembling slightly though. Pain, fear...death would slam into her mind and make her feel ill. On that note, she found that if she focused on someone, she could just feel that one person's emotions, though now that she had been distracted...well, Silver was interesting to say the least.
No matter how well someone was schooled, an Empath always knew. She just didn't act on it, and she smiled brightly at Silver. "It's all right! People snap at me all the time, except Felix here. I can be quite annoying, or so I'm told," she answered, scratching him in that way that took care of all his specially places.
Well, at least his shoulders and chest, though she was able to sort-of split her attention. She then smiled and told Felix, "My fingers are cramping. Sorry."
