"Old, wrinkly, an' dusty, but velvety soft?" Alister repeated, bemused. "An' ya dunno what's in it. Huh. Well, I got nothin' better ta be doin' now, so I s'pose I'll help ya look." Setting the books he had under his arm on a convenient table, he brushed a few strands of hair out of his face and set off down one of the aisles between two shelves.
[[ Bleh, lame post is lame, but I have to go to class. Sorry. ]]

Ivy smiled, as she looked over the shelfs from Ali's head, for some reason, known only to her, she felt much like a match maker right now...Even if neither Koryuun or Ali wanted it. The thing was...Ivy wanted it...and, stoping her, was almost like trying to stop a Hurricane. Impossible.
Koryuun smiled, and nodded in appreciation. True, it was pretty stupid, that she had no clue what it was about, but that wasn't her fault much. Alright, so perhaps it was, but, under any other surcumstances she'd actually say something...here...no.
"By the way, it has Gold and Silver letters! Writen in a gothic style kind of..." She told Alister, though the book shelf.

"Silver an' gold letters, gothic style. Gotcha," he called back, rubbing his chin as he scanned the shelves. A lot of the books in this section looked old, but none of them seemed quite old enough to fit the description of the one he was looking for.
"Hm. Nothin' on this shelf," he muttered to himself, straightening up, and rounded the corner to check the next aisle.

Kana was already there, carrifully looking over the books, as well as pulling some out, and closely looking over them. Something in their ancient letters, old dusty binding, and the things that they've held for so long, seemed to trap her with in their power. Hold her attention there...
"Earth to Koryuun! Ivy Speaking..." Ivy bluntly interupted as she vanished from ALi's head, appearing on the girl's shoulder. Antaina made a small squeek, as she droped the book she was holding. Her heart raced, and her breathing quick. Dang creatures.

"Blimey, you're rather jumpy, aren't'cha?" Alister laughed, as Koryuun dropped her book, startled by Ivy. "Or d'ya just zone out around books?"
'Course, I'd also be pretty surprised if a ferret teleported onto my shoulder, he admitted to himself mentally, if it wasn't for my conversation with Chris earlier. I don't think anything at this school can surprise me any more.

Koryuun, blinked, looking up at him, before smiling a little. She nodded, and reached to her shoulder, dragging the protesting fur collar down and holding it in the air for a moment, dropped it on the floor. The creature, highly displeased with such behaiviour, growled a little, before teleporting back to her place on Alister's head.
"Yea, I guess you can say I am...But, after living with Ivy, everyone would be..."She smiled a bit, picking up the book from the floor and placing it back on the shelf.

"Haha," Alister laughed in agreement, a large smile creasing his face as he turned back to look at some more of the books. Then Ivy teleported back to his head, and he, unprepared, nearly swatted at her before realizing she wasn't going to attack him.
"Yeah, I see what you mean now," he said ruefully.

Seeing him twitch, Ivy slid down, wrapping around his neck instead, but, once she was sure he wasn't going to hurt her, slid back up on top of his head.
"Aww....come on you guys...do you really believe that I'm capable of such a thing?" Ivy spoke up, as she crawled back on top of his head.
"No. You're capable of much worse."Atollia breathed out, quietly, before churning around to look at the shelf behind her.

"Capable of startlin' me? Yes," Alister snarked, nonetheless scratching Ivy's head again. He couldn't help it, animals were a definite weakness of his.
As he continued to browse, he did happen across a few interesting-looking books. There were a few ancient books on astronomy that he decided he would have to remember for future reference once he was done.
"Nah, no luck here either," he muttered to himself, moving on to the next aisle.

A bit later, a small gasp echoed near by. Small crash and a sneaze fallowed it, only moments later. A few more moments later, Koryuun showed up, in the end of the aisle, her eyes shining brightly. Ivy having looked up from the books Ali was looking though, glanced puzzled at her friend.
"I...I...I think I found it...At least it looks like it!" She smiled, looking down at the book, as she inspected it. "Yes...this is defineatly it!" With that Antaina looked up at Alister.
With a small sigh, Ivy appeared on her shoulders, reading the tittle outloud. "You have got to be kidding me..."Theory of the darkness beyond the void of Shadows" What in the world is this about?" Her voice sounded rather...disappointed.

"Darkness? Void o' Shadows?" Alister wondered aloud, intrigued. He slotted the book he was examining back onto the shelf and made his way over to Ivy and Koryuun, stopping in front of her and reading the book's title upside-down.
"Looks pretty sinister t'me," he commented, leaning down and craning his neck to get a better look at the words.

Koryuun ignored him, answering Ivy's question instread, as her hands clutched at the book's velvet covering. Her eyes shining bright, as she finally looked up. Though her eyes were lookingn at Alister, she was speaking to Ivy.
"This book...it tells of what those like me Discovered over generations...no, centuries of research. The explanations, guesses, proofs, mistics, everything they've collected by going beyond the void that provides the shadow it's power...Even some certain things that tell about the things beyond the veil...It explains the difference between the darkness and the dark...the regular things that not many come in terms in with in their mortal life....' Her voice trailed off, as her eyes dropped down to the book once more.

Realizing just how seriously Koryuun was taking the book, Alister walked around so that he was next to Koryuun, reading the title the right way up this time from over her shoulder, since his neck had started to become rather sore. The lettering really did look impressive, he would give it that. Then a thought struck him.
"Those like ya?" he asked, tilting his head curiously again. "Ya mean like us other meta-humans? So it's a book o' meta-human research relating ta shadow powers or somethin'?"

Reluctantly tore her eyes away from the book. It's gothic like letters writen in silver and gold, it''s shimering emrald velvet, and the leather binding and lock. Once she looked up at him, she shook her head, her eyes droping back down to the book.
"No... That would be those like you... It talks about the Demonic powers. Pure untainted, and the true source of the shadow, for those like me. A Demon." Her voice was quiet, almost as if she was afraid, perhaps with even tints of dislike hidden deep within.

"Ah." Alister nodded sagely, detecting the hint of scorn in her voice as she said the last words. Even if society rejected him for it, there were perks to having his powers, and a sensitivity to sound and inflection was one that he personally found invaluable.
"So yer a demon, but ya don't like it. I can see how that'd make things hard for ya," he grimaced.
